On a beautiful 5 acre olive grove nestled among the rolling hills of the Sierra Subbetica Park, we're just a few minutes from Andalucía's largest lake - the Embalse de Iznájar. Sitting on top of the hill above the lake is the beautiful white village of Iznajar. We have 4 luxury bedrooms, each room has flatscreen monitor/DVD, Hairdryer, luxury pool/bath towels, luxury bed linen and beautiful wet rooms. Huge living room with library area and your own bar.The terraces are enormous and perfect for a BBQ evening. In winter the whole house is centrally heated and the living room has a cosy log fire.

Notes on accommodation
This is the perfect place for your holiday. We are in a great location to see the most beautiful sights that Andalucia has to offer including The Alhambra, Mesquita in Cordoba, Seville, the numerous white villages and the lovely coastal resorts. The Casa offers a lovely place to relax after a days sightseeing, on the other hand you may just want to chill out a do absolutely nothing. If you do want to be more active you can: play golf, quad bike, go on a guided walk or bird watching tour, horse ride, donkey trek, check out our web site for more things to do. The heating for the pool (not heated during July and August) and house/water comes from a bio mass boiler fuelled by olive pips and solar panels.
For most of the year we are a small rural Hotel BUT for the summer months we offer the house for self catering. Your family/group will have exclusive use of the house and pool and 5 acres of private olive grove to explore. The house is secluded but not isolated.
Accessibility
The Casa is completely accessible for wheelchair users and has an electronic pool hoist.
Outside
The sun terraces have ample furniture, comfortable beds with additional mattresses. The beautiful Andalucian courtyard has a range of flowers and plants. Coast/Beach
The Costa del Sol with its many beaches is just 45 minutes away. Nerja and the fabulous caves can be reached in 70 minutes.
Golf
Nearest golf course is in Antequera (45 minute drive). Also the Barcelona Olympic venue for shooting is within 15 min drive so if you fancy a go at clay pigeon shooting, this is the place. Quad biking also available. We can arrange for bird watching tours with a local lady who will collect you in a 4x4 vehicle and take you to some of the finest areas to see the fabulous range of birds in this area.
Travel
Our nearest airports are either Granada or Málaga – both around an hour away.
Distances
Iznajar is just 5km away, Rute with a good range of shops is 15 minutes drive. Cordoba is 60 minutes. Alhambra Palace is 70 minutes away. Seville is 95 minutes away. There are lots of interesting local places to visit - we have hoards of information here to help you plan the holiday of a lifetime.

There are numerous world famous historic sites and museums including the unique Mosque in Cordoba city itself (the Mezquita) to the suggested Wonder of the World that is the Alhambra Palace in Granada to Flamenco Nights in Cordoba's Ancient Quarter, or a bullfight in Seville. There is a never ending selection of exhibitions, fiestas and galleries, fierce and dramatic scenery together with the largest nativity scene hand made out of chocolate on view every year from October 12th in Rute. We are less than 5km from the dramatic and historic white Andalucian town of Iznajar (meaning happy castle), and is the most southerly main town of the province of Cordoba, quite literally teetering on top of an immense rock that juts out into the spectacular lake fed in part by snow from the ski resort in the Sierra Nevada. Child care/baby sitting can be arranged. This means that parents can have a quiet meal at a local restaurant or a day out knowing their children are safe and well cared for and most important - having a great time at Brazos Abiertos with organised play, healthy food and the full attention of an experienced adult.

Brazos Abiertos was built in 2008 and has top quality installation and full central heating for winter lets For most of the year we are a luxury B&B but for some weeks we offer Brazos Abiertos for self catering groups or families. For summer 2012 the following weeks are available. Last week in June all of July and August and 1st week in September.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
Fabulous location, wonderful village, stunning views and very accessible for airports. Easy access to all of Andalucia's major attractions and historical sites. Lovely people who were very welcoming when we moved into the area. Guests describe our olive grove as a 'magical Place' we agree with them.
Unique benefits of the property
For self catering you will have a luxurious house, four en-suite bedrooms, all have a flatscreen wall mounted DVD huge living room with additional bathroom, bar area, DVD and book library, SAT TV and a full commercial kitchen where you can pretend you are on Master Chef. There is terracing around the pool and a huge terrace overlooking the view for those 'sundowner' drinks. The standard of this property is exceptionally high as it is the only Casa Rural Superior in this area. We are fully legal and registered with tourism which means that we have passed very strict safety standards which 99% of other properties in the Iznajar area have not. Do ask for your holiday homes Tourism number to ensue that you are staying in an inspected house.
