The house is situated in the small and peaceful community of La Villa. The residents of Alcaidesa are both Spanish and ex pats who work locally in Spain and Gibraltar along with some holiday homes, giving a mixed community of cultures and living styles. The house offers all the comforts of a home whilst you are relaxing on holiday and is used regularly by the owner. A car is essential for exploring all the local places of interest, or taxis are readily available locally for an evening out to the local towns of Sotogrande, La Linea, Gibraltar, San Roque. The area has much to offer all visitors whether relaxing on the beach or site seeing.

Changeover day
Normal changeover day is Saturday, but this can be varied by prior arrangement. Check in time is after 2pm on day of arrival and departure time is 10am on the last day of the booking. Times can be varied by arrangement if other bookings allow.

Accessibility
The village of Alcaidesa is built on a hillside sloping down to the sea, a car is therefore essential for visitors with mobility problems. The ground floor bedroom is accessible along with the downstairs toilet and washbasin. There is not a ground floor bath or shower.

Outside
To the front of the house is a driveway to park a car. To the rear is a paved area, secure for small children, and covered terrace area with patio furniture and BBQ.

Coast/Beach
Alcaidesa has a beautiful 4km blue flag beach, accessible only from within the Alcaidesa community or the sea. 10 mins walk downhill to the beach, restaurant, bars and shopping area. During the main holiday season there are limited beach activities available to hire.

Golf
Alcaidesa has two golf courses, a links course and a heathland course, both offer reduced rates to residents of Alcaidesa. A 72 lane driving range and new clubhouse were opened in September 2007 and offer some of the best facilities on the Costa Del Sol. Outside of Alcaidesa there are over 25 courses within a half hour drive, including the internationally famous Valderrama course.

Travel
Flying to Gibraltar or Malaga from U.K. Alcaidesa is approx 20mins from Gibraltar;or an hour from Malaga airport. Car hire is recommended so that you can explore the local area and cities, Gibraltar,Cadiz, Seville, Ronda,Estapona and Marbella along with the world famous Puerto Banus marina and shopping area.

Hi David, just to let you know that we had a really lovely stay at your house. The house was great, weather amazing and beach excellent. The only facility that was lacking was egg cups! Ha! Hopefully we left everything in good order and left some food and wine and beers for Carole. Many thanks, would happily recommend it.
