The property is a modern, well equipped and comfortable townhouse that sleeps 4-6. It's in a great location for all interests, with a communal pool, shops a 3-4 minute walk, beach and golf all nearby. Just a 5 minute drive away is the Polaris World La Torre Golf resort where British papers and brands are available. The house has a large private roof terrace and the main bedroom has air-con. The house is within a new developmet, with a friendly mix of permanent Brits and holiday makers. This summer (08) will see the opening of a sports centre at the end of the street which should cater for teenagers and the more active, who want to play tennis, basketball, football etc.

| Bedrooms: | 2 bright, airy bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, both have fitted wardrobes with clothes-hanging, shelving space, bedside tables and 3 speed ceiling fans. Master bedroom has a door to the balcony and hot/cold air-con. Also travel cot and blow up childs bed. |
| Bathrooms: | The main bathroom has a bath with a very powerful shower over the bath. It comes complete with toilet and bidet and a good-sized handbasin with mirrored unit, including storage space. There is also a wc downstairs. |
| Kitchen: | Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, grill, halogen hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, extractor fan, sink and plenty cupboard space. |
| Utility Room: | There is an outdoor galleria with a washing machine and an additional sink. 2 bicycles are also stored there together with inflatable toys for the pool. |
| Living Rooms: | Dining table with 4 chairs, leather sofa bed and 2 red leather easy chairs. TV, DVD, CD player and radio are provided. The side board has loads of information on local tourist attractions and things to do. Extra chairs are dotted round the house. |
| Other: | The large roof solarium is equipped with 2 sun loungers and drying facilities. The front patio area has a table and chairs to sit out have a coffee and relax. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All towels and linen are included. A cleaning fee of 60 euros is payable locally. |
Notes on accommodation
The house is maintained to a very high standard. It is ideal for couples and families. Smoking is not permitted in the house.
Outside
There is fantastic well maintained shared pool, which is only for use by the houses within the development.
Coast/Beach
Only a 15 minute drive will bring you to the Mar Menor, a huge lagoon 26km long and 7km wide which is well known for its warm tranquil and salty water, rich in health giving minerals. As well as Los Alcazares beach the Costa Calida, offers a number of blue flag rated beaches. The vast majority of them are sandy beaches but there are pebbled beaches and rocky alcoves for snorkeling. Why not try the famous mud baths for a health reviving treatment?
Golf
The area has many top class golf resorts. The nearest is La Torre Golf Resort which is a 5 min drive from the house. Mosa Trajectum (PGA) course is a 15 min drive via the auto-via towards the city of Murcia. The Roda golf course is located about 15 mins by car and is run by the De Vere Group. The world famous La Manga Club is a 20 min drive. There are also 2 new Polaris world resorts being built 5 mins drive from the house.
Travel
The nearest airport is San Javier (Murcia) which is a 15 minute drive from Balsicas. The airport has recently been upgraded and has many facilities. Alicante airport is 50 minute drive. Most budget airlines fly to Murcia and Alicante.
There are plenty of car hire companies to choose from along with taxi services being available.
There is also a train station just a five minute walk away, the local trains go to Murcia and Cartagena. There is also an intercity service to Madrid.
Distances
Historic Murcia with its incredible Cathedral, shops, outside restaurants and bars is a 35 minute drive, and the large bustling town of Cartagena a similar distance away.

There are many Street Markets. Mondays: San Pedro del Pinatar. Tuesdays: Los Alcazares Town Centre. Wednesdays: Santiago de La Ribera. Thursdays: San Javier. Fridays: Torrevieja. Saturdays: Los Narejos and Torre Pacheco. Sundays: Cabo de Palos. Why not explore the Mar Menor Islands? There are five uninhabitated islands in the Mar Menor. Isla del Barón (or Isla Mayor) and Isla Perdiguera are located near the centre of the lagoon and the other three Isla del Ciervo, Isla Rondella and Isla del Sujeto are grouped together near the southern end of the La Manga strip.
Isla del Ciervo is connected to La Manga by a short causeway. Isla Perdiguera is a popular destination for boat excursions with bars and restaurants on its small harbour. Ferries run frequently from Los-Alcazares and other towns on the Mar Menor in the summer.
Fancy something different then why not try a Mud Bath. The water and the mud in the Mar Menor have a high concentration of salt which has been found to carry healing powers for people suffering arthritis, rheumatism, tendinitis, and joint ailments, skin ailments, as well as enhancing blood flow around the body.
Booking notes
Booking deposit of 50% of total to be paid within 7 days of booking. Balance to be paid six weeks before the start date. Reservation will be cancelled in the event of non payment of the balance. In the event of cancellation, we will make every effort to re-let the property and refund your money less a 60 euro cancellation fee. However, in the event that we are unable to do this we will not be able to refund the deposit. £50 security cheque required to be held against damage or lost key.
