It is a wonderful evening pastime to sip a drink and watch the fishing boats returning after the days catch! Coast/Beach
Mojacar Playa, with the Cabrera Mountains as a backdrop, has unspoilt and uncrowded beaches, many with Blue Flags. Apartment 100m to beach.
Golf
The Marina Golf Course that the apartment overlooks is on Marina de la Torre and is divided in two by a headland which gives wonderful views of the sea to one side and cultivated landscapes to the other. It is an 18 hole, 72 par course that features three strategically situated lakes. It was designed by Ramon Espinosa and opened in 2001. Services include a restaurant, cafe, shop, school, equipment and buggy hire. Many other Golf courses can be found close by such as the renowned Desert Springs, Valle del Este and the Cortijo Grande.
Skiing

Travel
Almeria Airport, 50 mins drive. Flights depart daily from the UK. Alicante Airport, about 2.25 hours. Murcia, 1.25hours.
Distances
If you do not hire a car the only mode of transport from the airport is taxi or we could help with a private pick up that is cheaper than a taxi. All airports have car rental companies but it can be cheaper to book at home before departure. The bus service in Mojacar is quite good as is the new central reservation taxi service.
Further details
It is said that the sun shines for 340 days in Mojacar making it suitable all year round. It is also home to the Indalo man - the symbol of Almeria - you will see it all over the region if you visit. If you wish to venture further afield a day trip can be taken to Granada to see the fabulous Moorish Ahambra Palace or in winter go skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains. There are also ancient cave paintings to be seen in Sorbas and Cuevas. The 5 Star hotel that the apartment looks out over has as its centre building the renovated Palace de la Marina built by the Marguis de Chavarri. When this luxury hotel opens it will have a casino. Mojacar Pueblo, known as the corner of enchantment, is a Moorish hilltop village with cobbled streets and white washed houses - in fact one of the 'Indiana Jones' movies was filmed there. There are many bars, restaurants and art/craft gift shops giving it a great atmosphere day or night. Here there are shops, supermarkets, medical centres, banks, clubs, beach bars etc. Great fish restaurants can be found in the lively fishing village of Garrucha. It also has a fashionable Marina. Other places to visit include the stunning Cabo de Gata National Park where the coastal and inland scenery will leave you breathless, the Parque Acuatico water park - a fun day for all, or Mini Hollywood where spaghetti Westerns were made such as 'A Fistful Of Dollars'. Vera has a beautiful restored Bullring. Great markets can be found in Mojacar, Garrucha and Vera - always good for a bargain!

Apartment available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am.
