Located in Spain's far south eastern corner with Europe's best climate (highest hours of sunshine and lowest rainfall) Vera is a quiet resort well known for its long sandy beaches and easy to experience real Spain.

Changeover days are flexible. Departure time is 10am and arrival time 4pm (unless otherwise arranged).

Notes on accommodation
This small and friendly complex is finished to a high specification, within tropical gardens, that are separated by beautiful walkways and fountains with seating for relaxation. The complex also benefits from the following: large swimming pool. Children's splash pool. Children's play area. A spa/fitness centre (including weights, treadmill, stepper, rowing machine, sauna and a Jacuzzi). Tennis/paddle court. All the above facilities are free to guests. The complex also provides a secure environment for families and couples alike. There is a 24 hour concierge and an intercom system that can be operated from the apartment. There is also private/underground parking.

Access to first floor apartment is via stairs.
Outside
This newly furnished first floor apartment has a balcony overlooking private swimming pool and children's splash pool together with patio furniture and BBQ. It is located close to spa/fitness centre with views over the beautiful gardens.
Coast/Beach
The 6.8km of long wide, white sandy beaches with clean, crystal clear water of Vera Playa is only 10 mins walk away. With full facilities and local chiringuitos open in summer months. Within a 20 mins drive north or south of the resort, there are numerous coves and stunning beaches which are all easily accessible.
Golf
Desert Springs Location Vera. 6173 yards Par 72. Valle del Este - Location Vera. 5717ms Par 71. Marina Golf - Local Mojacar. 5272m Par 71. Desert Springs and Valle del Este courses are both approx 10 mins drive from apartment. Marina Golf is in Mojacar which is 15 mins drive.
Travel
The area benefits from being situated close to 3 airports which are serviced by all the budget airlines. Almeria being the closet at 45 mins drive on the quiet E15. Murica San Javier is 1 hour's drive on the new toll road. Alicante is also an option being the largest airport in the area however this is a 2 hr transfer. Taxis, bus transfers and car hire are available at all three airports.
Distances
Within a 10 minute walk to beach, local Bars/Restaurants (Chiringuitos), Supermarket and Water park. The historic town of Vera is a 5 minute drive away, with the local fishing villages of Garrucha and Villaricos 10 minutes ina car or bus. The lively resort of Majacar is aslo only a plea sent 15 minutes away.
Further details
The area also benefits from a number of natural and man made attractions. Cabo de Gata Natural Park - is believed to be the driest and hottest place in Europe. Its landscape of deserted beaches, salt plains and volcanic is very popular for tourist and hikers, with an array of wild life that includes Pink Flamingos. Mini Hollywood/Western Leone and Texas hollywood are where Hollywood classic’s such as Lawrence of Arabia, El Cid and many of Clint Eastwood Spaghetti westerns were filmed. All will make you feel you've been transported back to the 'Wild West' and you can walk around and even watch daily re-enactments. Other activities such as Scuba diving, sailing, go-karting, horse riding, quad biking and many water sports are also available.

Transfers to & from the airports can be arranged (Almeria, Murcia & Alicante). Compettitive car hire can also be arranged.

Hi my name is Mark, I'm a Engineer from Manchester. I really enjoy going on holiday with my family and getting away from it all. After years of traveling to various places around Europe, I finally found a place in the sun that really suits us.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Having never been to main land Spain (we've had many holidays in the Balearic islands), myself and family spent a two week holiday in Almeria in 2006. We immediately fell in love with the area, people and weather on offer here. The climate is fantastic (apparently the best in Europe), the sun always seems to shine (I've been at various times of the year - Easter, half term, Summer, October, etc). The beauty of it is, that although its hot (especially in August), there always seems to be a nice breeze, which is ideal both for me and my two children. The number of beaches is incredible and they all seem to have their own unique personality. Some are busy, with a great deal of facilities (waves, body boarding ect.) and others are very remote and quiet.
Unique benefits of the property
After months & months of apartment hunting, I finally found a lovely 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment on a small complex in Playa Vera called Veranda. This apartment was always bought primary, as a holiday home for my family to spend years of quality time there. It's only recently, after owning it for three years that I've started to rent it out. The apartment is ideally located on the complex, and the reason I choose it was because it overlooked the pool & Spa. With having two young children, I found it so convenient, simply to walk down to the pool and have easy access to the apartment, when required. You'll find the complex is quiet, relaxing and is located close to the local beach. Supermarkets, bars/resturants and Almeria's waterpark are all within easy walking distance.
