The villa is brand new, spacious and built to a high standard. St llorenc de la Muga is built on the banks of the river Muga where you can go for a refreshing dip in the summer months. There is a small shop, several bars and restaurants. The villa is surrounded by stunning scenery and is off the beaten track offering a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The wooded hills offer 100's of miles of tracks, ideal for walking, mountain biking and off road driving, the villa is also in an ideal position to explore the beautiful towns and villages of Catalunya. France is just 30 minutes away, as is the coast. We are an hour from Girona and just 15 minutes from Figueres where you can visit the famous Dali museum.

Notes on accommodation
The property has central heating through out.
It is suitable for children although possibly not for toddlers as the garden is not entirely enclosed.
The games room is ideal for occupying the kids while their parents relax, the surrounding area is very quite and it is safe for older children to explore a little on their own.

Accessibility
The ground floor bedroom and bathroom are obviously ideal for some people and the lounge/diner and the kitchen are all on the same level. However you do need to enter the villa by a flight of steps so it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
Private garden, covered patio with table and chairs. A gas barbecue is also provided.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is only a 30 minute drive away and within an hour there are many others ranging from large sandy beaches to small rocky coves.
Golf
Peralada and Torremirona golf courses are 25 minutes away as well as several other courses less than an hour's drive away.
Special interest holidays
We also offer guided walking holidays exploring the local area. The walks are suitable for all ages and abilities and range from short rambles to all day hikes. Babysitting can also be arranged if required. Please contact us for more information.
Travel
Girona and Perpingan (France) are both just a 45 minute drive and Barcelona about 2 hours, all have good hire car facilities. Car hire is essential.
Distances
The nearest town is Figueres 15 minute drive away. Barcelona is less than 2 hours by train or car, Girona less than an hour. The monastery at Sant Pere de Rodes is a 35 minute drive and France is less than 30 minutes by car. Aiguamolls, a very important wetland bird reserve is 30 minutes away. The whole area has numerous historic towns and villages most of which hold fiestas throughout the year.
Further details
Figueres has many supermarkets, banks, shops, bars and restaurants as well as a tourist information office. The nearest chemist is in Llers 10 minutes by car. There are many local restaurant including 5 only a 5 minute walk from the villa. Some shops and restaurants close on Mondays.
