The resort of Almerimar has bus links to Almeria, where you can sight-see and shop. El Ejido and Roquetas de Mar, where you can take in the local markets Wednesday and Thursday mornings respectively. Also, the aqua park in Roquetas de Mar, a great day our for all the family, with a huge 60,000 m2 of pure entertainment! Plus, the nearby Tabernas desert, the only true desert in Europe where Mini Hollywood and zoo is one of three western theme parks used originally as sets in spaghetti westerns.

| Utility Room: | The utility room is equipped with a sluce sink and automatic front loading washing machine. Drying facilities are provided with an iron and ironing board. |

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bedlinen and towels for use in the apartment are provided. The apartment will be cleaned prior to arrival and after departure. No maid service is provided during a stay (unless requested at an extra cost). We do not provide beach towels. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor with a spacious private balcony overlooking the pool and some sea views. All windows/patio doors are double glazed and fitted with curtains and shutters. The property has a 32" LG TV with Free to air sat/TV including many of the British Channels. The living area and bedroom 1 are individually air conditioned with both hot/cold provision. The apartment is strictly NO SMOKING. Lifts and stairs are provided to all floors.
Accessibility
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor and may not therefore be suitable for those with mobility problems. Lifts are, however, provided to all floors. The apartment is accessed via a locked portal door that is intercom linked to the apartment, this provides added privacy.
Outside
Communal swimming pool and large areas for sunbathing. The pool depth ranges from 1.10m to 1.8m with stepped access entry to the shallow end. There is also a number of pool side showers. There are also shaded areas.
Coast/Beach
Almerimar boasts wide sandy beaches either side of a beautiful marina which has 1100 moorings. The nearest beach - 3 minute walk away and in the Summer months this beach has two beach bars/restaurants with sunbeds and water sports. There is ample car parking, toilets and showers. Both Playa De Levante and Poniente beaches are blue flag.
Golf
Within walking distance of the apartment, Golf Almerimar is a flat course, with wide fairways and wide greens. Opened in 1976, it was designed by Gary Player and Ron Kirby. A beautiful spot due to the lakes and palm trees on the course, Almerimar Golf Club is 5 minutes walk from the apartment. It has wide tree lined fairways and large greens which are maintained and fast to play on. There are water features at several holes. The 100 metre over the lake shot to reach the par 3 hole 12 is a real challenge. The lush vegetation affords a pleasant oasis-style feel to a round as the palm trees and lakes create spots of spectacular beauty. All 27 holes re-opened on 20 December 2007 after a complete refurbishment, The golf course now comprises the restored 18 holes (Almerimar 1) from the original design and 9 extra holes (Almerimar 3) for shorter rounds. Almerimar 2 comprises parts of both Almerimar 1 and 3. A further four courses are situated a little further away in the area around Almeria
Skiing
Almerimar is approximately 2 hours away from the Sierra Nevada where skiing is available from November through till March. Many people use Almerimar as a base in the winter months to enjoy skiing in the Sierra Nevada.
Special interest holidays
The apartment borders the Puntas Entinas natural park where it is said that more than 200 bird species live in a landscape of wetlands and savin groves. The nature area periodically receives migrations of birds between Europe and Africa. An ideal location for bird watching and walking holidays. For horse riders a stable is situated in the Natural Park at the side of the development. Sailing, fishing and windsurfing are also popular.
Travel
Almerimar is approximately 30-40 mins by car from Almeria airport. Scheduled flights operate directly to Almeria airport from the UK - Birmingham, Manchester & Luton (flymonarch), Leeds/Bradford & Newcastle Airports (Jet2) and London Stansted & London Gatwick Airport (easyJet).
Malaga airport is a 2-3 hours and Murcia is a 2 hours car journey to Almerimar.
Car hire or transport to/from Almeria airport can be arranged.
A car is not essential but is recommended to fully enjoy the area.

Further details
A local supermarket is located a 4 minute walk away, a larger shopping centre and multiplex cinema/carting is about a 5-10 minute drive or a short journey on the local bus to El Ejido. The nearest bar is approx 100 metres away.
Almerimar has many shops, bars and restaurants to suit most tastes and pockets in the harbour area, it also has a health centre, chemist, dentist, banks and cash dispensers. Hospital De Poniente is a 10 minute drive.
Roquetas De Mar - a 10 minute drive away has a water park, and aquarium and lots to see and do.
Booking notes
A £50 deposit is required to secure booking, balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to the holiday. A £200 damage deposit is required with each booking (refundable at the end of the holiday if no damage). Short stays (3 days and over) available. Off season long lets available with discounted rates. The keys can be collected from our key holders office on the port. Bookings based on 4 share all extra persons charged at £50 per person per week.
