Coast/Beach
The blue flag beaches of Vera Playa are approx 1km away -about 5 mins drive with its bars and restaurants and supermarkets and Aqua Park. The coastal towns of Puerto Rey, Garrucha and Mojacar Playa with its beautiful beaches are only a short drive away. Mojacar Playa offers a good selection of nightlife. The fishing village of Villaricos is also within 10/15 minutes drive. The Cabo de Gata National park is approx 45 mins drive.
Golf
There are 4 golf courses within 10/15 minutes drive from the apartment. Valle del Este, Desert Springs, Cortijo Grande and Marina Golf in Mojacar.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada Ski resort is about 2/3 hours drive.
Special interest holidays
There are PADI dive centres in Villaricos and Mojacar. Fishing, golf, horse riding and water sports.
Travel
Almeria Airport is approx 45/50 mins drive. Murcia Airport approx 90 mins and Alicante approx 1hr 45/2hr.

Further details
The historical town of Vera with its bull ring is approx 5 mins drive away and offers a selection of shops, bar and restaurants. Mojacar Playa with its long sandy beaches has good nightlife and has many beach side bars and restaurants and a good selection of shops. The fishing port of Garrucha has a marina and promenade and lots of great fish restaurants offering the catch of the day and many shops. Vera Playa aqua park is 5 mins by car. The hilltop whitewashed village of Mojacar Pueblo is nearby and well worth a visit. The fishing village of Villaricos is also nearby - boat trips are available from here.
