Gemita is one of those rare luxuriously appointed holiday finds that we always dream of. It nestles into the hillside of the Grazalema Natural Park. To the north are the mountains of the Grazalema Sierras. To the south are rolling hills and the beautiful historic town of Ronda. There are sheep and goats grazing close by and you will often come across their shepherd taking them home for milking.
The house is very private, fully enclosed, and not over looked in anyway but is still only a short distance from the main road to Sevilla and only ten minutes drive to Ronda.
Gemita has recently been fully renovated. Once part of a very large estate, which mainly grew sunflowers as a crop, and fields of these can still be seen, in season, in the surrounding area.
The interior of Gemita is pleasing to the eye with furniture made locally in the area (mainly pine) and touches of English soft furnishings.
Gemita is furnished to a very high standard with all the comforts of a modern home.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday. We ask that clients arrive after 3.00pm and that the property is vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
Gemita is truly a delightful holiday retreat, which can comfortably accommodate a family of 4. The living accommodation is all on one floor. It has full central heating, which makes life more comfortable for those taking winter holidays. We request that there is no smoking inside the property.
Outside
The garden is of neat proportions with shrubs and trees. There is a large terrace with shade from the old fig tree and many potted plants. The swimming pool (5m x 3m) is enclosed by attractive ironwork. The terrace provides plenty of room for outside living and barbeques.
Coast/Beach
The Atlantic and Mediterranean Coasts are in easy reach for a day trip. Journey time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by car.
Golf
The nearest golf course is approximately 50km away. More details on request.
Travel
Jerez Airport is approximately 100km - 1hour 15 mins by car.
Seville Airport is 90km - 1 hour 15 mins by car.
Malaga Airport is 120km - 1 hour and 30 minutes by car.
Gibraltar Airport is 150km - 2 hours by car.
Santander/Bilbao Ports are approximately 1000km - we suggest an overnight stay if travelling form these ports.
Car hire is essential.

Gemita is within 20 minutes drive of Ronda and the mountain 'white villages' of Grazalema, El Gastor, Setenil and Zahara de la Sierra.
The historic cities of Cadiz, Seville, Granada, and Cordoba can all be reached by car, train and coach. It is also possible to visit North Africa from the coast via ferry.

Gemita is within 10 minutes drive of the village of Montecorto, where shops, bars and restaurants can be found. Gemita is 20km from the beautiful town of Ronda. Some would say that Ronda is best seen at sunset when the Andalucian heat lifts from the town and the surrounding sierra turns from bleached lemon to yellow ochre. The town comes alive with restaurants, bars and cafes buzzing.
This wonderful town with its Moorish architecture, old palaces and cool gardens make for a very beautiful destination - the ideal place to enjoy more sophisticated Andalucian gastronomy, shop in elegant boutiques, admire the lovely ceramics and be amazed by the famous gorge – El Tajo.
The dramatic mountains and the villages of Grazalema, El Gastor, Setenil and Zahara de la Sierra (and many more) are situated in some of the most stunning settings of Andalucia. The cities of Granada, Seville, Cadiz and Gibraltar, together with the Mediterranean coast, are all in easy reach for a day trip. Enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful countryside by driving, walking or horse riding.
The Spanish love Fiestas and celebrations. All summer long there are parties and each village, town and city has it’s own Feria. The celebrations usually start in the evening and continue throughout the night. The Feria of Ronda takes place around the first weekend of September and is known as the Goyesca and takes its name from Goya. There are many street parades with many people dressed in the traditional Goyescan costumes. The Corrida (bullfights) is the centrepiece to this famous Andalucian Feria and takes place in the oldest bullring in Spain. It is impossible not to enjoy yourself when amongst this weeklong festival of celebration.
Booking notes
We ask clients to complete a booking form and return it to us with a deposit of 25% of the total rental price. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks before the commencement of the holiday let. Payement in Sterling accepted at preferential rate.
