Notes on accommodation
This house is perfectly equipped for holiday use, if you wish to stay longer than 2 weeks please give as much notice as possible, we may know of other places if our house is rented....and remember as we are close we can help with anything from where to buy your milk and bread, to helping if you need something from the well stocked pharmacy! We are here to help.
The house is suitable for children but as most Spanish houses are tiled, extra care is needed if children are used to carpets. Heating will be provided in winter.
Accessibility
The house has very good accessibility. You can usually park right outside the house, and if you can't there is plenty of parking close by. The Spanish don't mind if you park outside in the road, drop off anyone and or shopping then move on to the nearest parking space!
Outside
Large lemon tree patio off the kitchen with metal steps upto a large terrace. Garden furniture is included for you.
Coast/Beach
The Costa del Sol is an hour and half away by car. Our favourite beaches are the Costa de La Luz; around an hour and half away. We love Conil de la Frontera with its huge stretches of white clean sand, perfect for the kids! Next door to Conil you have the beaches of El Palmer, a surf paradise! Further south, Tarifa is the home of the windsurfers (lessons can be arranged!) and is about 2 hours. Other nice beaches are found at Rota and the surrounding area. Picnics can be pre booked.
Golf
Golf is within 45 mins of Olvera on good easy access roads. Antequera and Arcos de la Frontera are both within easy reach and very popular with the locals. You also have the Costa del Sol golf courses in under an hour and a half.

Further details
Olvera is one of the 14 recognised Pueblos Blancos (White Villages) of Andalucia. It is a picturesque, friendly town of about 10,000 inhabitants. The town is perched on top of a hill and can be seen for miles around. The town boasts the beautiful Neo-Classical Church (Iglesia Parroquial de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnacion) at the summit in the Plaza de Iglesia. Adjacent to the church is the completely renovated and restored Moorish Castle, together with the Castle Museum and gift shop. The local Tourist Office is also located here. The views from everywhere in Olvera are magnificent! Particularly recommended are the panoramic views from the top of the Castle. Below the Church and inside the castle walls you will discover the smallest of streets untouched by modernisation, where mules and horses are often still used for transportation! Moving down from the Church and Castle you will discover the Plaza de Andalucia which contains a magnificent modern waterfall. Above the waterfall can be found The Waterfall Gardens and a small aviary; at the top is the Mirador (‘Beautiful View’ or look out point). Come down from The Gardens back to the Plaza – try the bar in the Plaza – they serve great food and Tapas! Proceeding down through the town there are a variety of small parks, plazas and viewing points where you can sit, rest, chat, while away the time. There are friendly and welcoming bars and restaurants to suit every taste. They offer great value for money and the local cuisine is delicious everywhere! The local shops provide everything you need; from daily requirements to gifts and local produce. Check out the local olive oil with fantastic soaps and oils! We can arrange Fishing days (with UK champion) Paragliding (tandem jumps incase you don’t want to go on your own!) Tours: (including women only) of walking, cycling, mountain biking, bird watching (with top Birder!) or combine any of the above. We can also arrange pottery days, painting or drawing with a local artist.

Thank you so much Zoe it was just what we needed, your knowledge is invaluable to staying in Olvera! Thanks for everything! Tapas is on us next time. - Alan and Julie!
The Lemon Tree, a great place to relax and chill out in. Full of rustic Spanish charm and character. Your own fresh lemons to add to your early evening gin and tonic taken on the top patio. Easy to walk to all attractions in Olvera and a great base to explore the surrounding area. - John and Dianne Tabberer Leicester UK.
Friendly welcome, delightful house and a great week. Thanks. - Kevin G.
Hi Zoe, we had a great time in Olvera, thanks. The house suited our purposes. The town itself is fantastic - we particularly enjoyed the castle and the museum and via verde vistors’ centre attached; the bar on Pza Andalucia was great and there are some lovely spots to take in the surrounding countryside. We had two or three very good days on the via verde, despite some pretty poor weather. Richard P.

Owner profile
About the owner
Zoë's love affair with Spain started when she was an au-pair in her teens. After having a awful experience, being rescued from the family by a old family friend she spent the next few years trying to get back to Spain. She even told her husband when they first met that one day they would live in Spain!
Since their first home in Olvera, Zoe and her husband have bought and renovated houses in Olvera and Pruna and continue to love the area and the people here. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming! Zoe's love of old houses, architecture and photography are evident in how many photos she takes of each house, even if its a ruin.
Zoe Now helps other people find their dream and runs the local estate agents office in the old part of town.
Year purchased: 2006
Why the owner chose a home in this location
I bought this property originally for my sister to live which she did for 18 months, but when she returned to the UK we decided to rent it out, I also own a property business in the town, so knew how well the rentals were and still continue to do in the area. Olvera has everything needed for a holiday, or to live full time.
The views are stunning and even in the height of summer, there are still views of the olive trees, which stay green throughout the year. Olvera offers a laid back lifestyle, with lots of bars and restaurants to while away the day.
Unique benefits of the property
Lemon Tree Patio is close to all amenities, there are shops and bars all within easy walking distance and parking is very close to the house. The swimming pool is a short walk away and open all summer.
The House is easy to get to in the car so no narrow streets, and is easy to Roll home to if you stay too long at the bar.
The cleaner makes sure you have clean bed linen and towels for your arrival and can if needed come and clean for you for a small extra charge.
We can arrange home cooked meals to be delivered and stored in the fridge and heated in the microwave at a later time.
As we live in the area, its easy to be on hand to help if you need it. Anything from where to park the car to where is the best place to eat, we know it all.
