The property is an 8 minute drive from Murcia airport, Mar Menor beaches, Los Alcazares, 20 minutes from La Manga Club and the historical cities of Murcia and Cartagena. The penthouse is comfortably furnished with all mod-cons and is equipped with ceiling fans, and radiators, 32 inch TV, video and DVD player, hi-fi, including a selection of DVDs and CDs, beach toys and dolls. A hairdryer is provided and also a separate outdoor grill for BBQ lovers who prefer the easier option. There is also an allocated parking space and intercom entry phone for the property.

Living Rooms: 1 x 3 seater sofa, 1 x 2 seater sofa, 32 inch wide screen TV with integral DVD, DVDs, hi-fi, CDs, coffee table, reading lamps and patio window leading to large balcony with sunbeds and dining table and chairs for alfresco dining, parasol and plants.
Other: South facing solarium at back of property equipped with washing line, pot plants and room for private sunbathing.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
1 set of hand and bath towels are provided for full occupancy. 3 beach towels provided. Seasonable bedlinen is provided + set for changing. Cleaning is provided upon changeovers for which there is a £17 charge.

 

Notes on accommodation
For the winter months there are portable radiators and a coal effect fire which prove to be effective. For extreme heat in the summer, all bedrooms are fitted with cool ceiling fans. Children welcome. Non-smoking.

Accessibility
The property is built on 2 floors like a house and the entrance is situated above ground level. The staircase inside the property is fairly wide and straight compared to most in Spanish properties.

Outside
There are 2 large balconies from the lounge area downstairs, and the master bedroom upstairs, furnished with dining table, chairs, parasol, sunbeds, chairs and a hammock. To the rear of the property there is a private solarium which is south-facing but not overlooked. The penthouse is located on a new development where there is a planned pool, sporting and green areas. The property is on the perimeter facing the village and designated 'green area'. At present there is a brand new municipal pool, 3 minutes walk from the property which is open in the months of July and August.

Coast/Beach
Blue flag white sand beaches of the Mar Menor - resorts such as Los Alcazares, Santiago de la Ribera, San Pedro del Pinatar (home to the regions therapeutic salt flats) are a mere 8 to 10 minutes drive away.
The Mediterranean sea is close by at El Mojon with children's play area, boardwalk and 'chiringuitos', backed by white sand dunes - a 12 minute drive away in nearby Pilar de la Horadada.

Golf
Situated in Murcia's 'Golf Valley', the property is a 5 minute drive from Polaris Worlds 'La Torre' golf course, Roda Resorts PGA designed course near Los Alcazares, Mar Menor Golf, La Serena by the shores of the Mar Menor inland sea, 15 minutes drive from La Manga Club and Campoamor and Villamartin in the neighbouring Alicante province.

Skiing
The Sierra Nevada resort of Monachil is a 3 hour drive from the property but is equally as appealing in the summer months to escape from the searing heat of the Costas.

Travel
Car hire is recommended at this property as it is well placed to all major attractions, cities and airports in south eastern Spain.
San Javier Murcia airport is an 8 minute drive, Alicante airport is 40 minutes away by motorway. Look out for the new international airport at Corvera, opening in the near future. This will be the 2nd largest airport to Madrid.
The French border is a 6 hour drive and the port of Santander is around 9 hours by car.

Distances
Located on the perimeter of the hamlet of San Cayetano, the property is 2 miles from Balsicas village with its international train links, 8 minutes drive from the coastal towns, 20 minutes from Murcia city, nestled in lush mountainous terrain, 'nueva condomina' American style shopping mall and sports stadium, historical naval port of Cartagena with its tapas bars and upmarket department store 'El Corte Ingles' and recently opened 'Parque Mediterraneo' shopping mall and bowling centre.

Further details
There is a bank in the local village and an array in nearby San Javier which is also home to a good choice of supermarkets, as is Los Alcazares where you will probably find the biggest selection of restaurants, although it is much more fun trying the more authentic restaurants, the inland

Deposit of £75 is required to confirm the booking which we will retain if you cancel with less than 6 weeks notice. Full payment is required 6 weeks before commencement of your holiday. The original £75 will be kept as a damages deposit and returned within 7 days of your return home. Generous discount for long stays over 4 weeks - £495 per month.
