On the lower terrace is a pool, sun deck and lawn, all fenced for the protection of small children. The upper terrace provides all day sun and a large barbeque is located here for those who relish the outdoor life.

Notes on accommodation
The house is situated in one of Hout Bay's most secure estates with 24 hour security, and access limited only to approved visitors. The property is alarmed and linked to the guard house for extra security and quick response.
Outside
The house offers a lovely shady verandah complete with table and chairs whilst the upper terrace has a fully equipped charcoal BBQ. On the sundeck, sunloungers and deck chairs are provided to accompany the private salt water pool (7x4m).
Coast/Beach
Hout Bay Beach is 2 mins away by car and about 15 - 20 mins on foot. he famous bikini clad Clifton beaches are about 20 mins away by car whilst the stunning Chapmans Peak drive begins just mins away. Hout Bay boasts one of the few working fishing harbours in the Cape and its fresh sea food restaurants and markets are famous in the region.
Golf
There are several good quality golf courses closeby and all very reasonably priced. The closest course is about 10 mins away by car.
Special interest holidays
For those interested in horse riding, scuba diving, walking... Hout Bay is the ideal spot. Horse riding/livery stables are a few mins away all offering unique rides to the beaches and on mountain walks. Cape Town is known for its spectacular scenery and so lends itself to some of the most breathtaking walks in the country. Many of these are with easy reach of the house.
Travel
Cape Towns international airport is approx 30 mins away.
Distances
The Cape is internationally famous for its wines so for interested visitors wanting to visit Stellenbosch or the Paarl Valley,Franschoek etc.. the journey is less than an hour from Berg en Dal. The must see attraction of Cape Town is the majestic Table Mountain with its revolving cable car. Its takes only 20 mins to reach the cable station via the breathtaking coastal route along the 12 Apostles mountain range.
Further details
Hout Bay is filled with good quality restaurants and shops of all descriptions. There is a medium sized but modern Spar supermarket in Hout Bay, whilst the Pick n Pay hypermarket is only 10 mins away by car. Seafood is a specialty with many local restaurants offering fresh local seafood.
Booking notes
To make a firm booking a 20% deposit is required. The balance of the fees is required 4 weeks before arriving at the property. A fully refundable deposit cheque of £250 is required with the final payment. This is to cover any unlikely breakages. A minimum stay of 7 days is required.
