This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with private heated pool and pretty gardens is in an idyllic location just on the outskirts of Simonstown. It boasts not only spectacular views of the mountains surrounding False Bay, but is also just a couple of hundred metres from the white, sandy Seaforth Beach, and a five-minute walk from Boulders Beach, home to a large colony of jackass penguins.
There is a garage with electric door for secure car parking. The house also has a burglar alarm and security system. The cottage is professionally managed on our behalf by our resident family representative, who will be on hand to meet you and to supervise the cleaning of the property and the regular change of towels and linen. We provide a welcome food pack including wine and fresh flowers, barbecue charcoal and firelighters.

Changeover day
The changeover day is flexible. Arrival and departure times can be flexible but will depend on the departure and arrival of other guests.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | The upstairs bedroom has a queen size double bed and opens on to a verandah with stunning sea view. It has an en-suite bathroom. The downstairs bedroom has twin beds and an en-suite shower room. Doors open on to the patio overlooking the pool. |
| Bathrooms: | En suite bathroom to the upstairs bedroom has a bath, wc, sink and separate, spacious shower. En suite shower room to the downstairs bedroom is large with a wc, sink and spacious shower. Both en-suites have heated towel rails. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size electric cooker, large fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and juicer as well as ample cutlery, crockery and glasses. |
| Living Rooms: | The spacious lounge, with views over False Bay is beautifully furnished and has two comfortable two seater sofas and an armchair. It has a colour TV with satellite, a video player, DVD player with choice of videos and DVD's and a CD/cassette player. |
| Other: | The open plan dining room with seating for 6 is at the back of the lounge which then leads on to the kitchen. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bath, hand and pool towels are provided and the cottage is cleaned, bed linen changed and towels changed once a week. Also tea towels are provided. |
Notes on accommodation
Both bathrooms have under floor heating. Children are very welcome but clients must be aware there is a pool which has no gate around it and there are steep steps up to the house and from the pool area to the front door and verandah.

Outside
Outside, you can relax in the heated pool next to the front patio, surrounded by a pretty garden and the view over the bay is breathtaking. As the garden is north-facing, you can relax on the patio, enjoying the sunshine all day and, perhaps, a barbecue in the evening. There is a pretty garden area behind the house, which gets the afternoon and evening sun. There are tables and chairs and sun loungers and a barbecue. There is also an outside drying area for washing.
Coast/Beach
Seaforth beach is just 200 metres away, so a couple of minutes walk. It is a lovely golden sandy beach and has an excellent restaurant on it which is also perfect for drinks at sunset.
The entrance to Boulders Beach penguin colony is just 5 minutes walk away and the coves and beaches of Boulders just a bit further where you can sunbathe and swim amongst penguins - a unique experience.
Golf
There are several very good golf courses nearby - if interested please ask for details.
Travel
Cape Town airport is a 45 minute drive from Seaforth Cottage.
We would recommend car hire in order to see the surrounding areas. We can arrange car hire at very reasonable prices to include transfers to and from the airport.
Distances
Seaforth cottage is just outside the naval town of Simonstown - just a 15 minute walk away. Here there are some lovely shops, very good restaurants and a harbour where you can book boat trips around the naval base and across to seal island.
Within an easy drive are Cape Point nature reserve, the art and craft shops at Kalk Bay and the busy resorts of Camps Bay and Hout Bay. Cape Town itself is just a 40 minute drive - including the waterfront, table mountain and Kirstenbosch.
Further details
There is a small supermarket just a couple of minutes walk from the cottage which is handy for essentials and a very large supermarket and shopping complex a 20 minute drive away. There is a train from Simonstown along the coast and in to Cape Town and you can sometimes book Biggsy's restaurant carriage for a champagne breakfast.
The beautiful winelands of Paarl & Stellenbosch are within easy reach by car or organised tour.
Booking notes
We ask for a deposit of 30% and the balance is payable two months before the start of the booking. We take payment by cheque.

Just a short note to say thank you – we had a fabulous holiday, the cottage was far better then what we imagined it would be, the scenery and views were absolutely stunning!.....It was a shame too leave, we will be definitely booking another holiday to Seaforth – hopefully next year!......
