Beautifully furnished 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with pool in the little hamlet of Glencairn Heights with beautiful views across the False Bay peninsula. 5 minutes walk from Glencairn Beach. Capel Cottage comprises a large lounge leading to an adjacent open plan dining area with seating for eight and a separate fully equipped kitchen. The pretty gardens surround the house with the pool at the front and the barbecue at the back. There are also sun loungers and patio furniture. From the deck you can see whales at the right time of year - a stunning sight.

Changeover day
The changeover day is flexible. Arrival and departure times can be flexible but will depend on the departure and arrival of other guests.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | There are 4 double size bedrooms with ample wardrobe space. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have queen size beds. Bedroom 3 has twin beds. Bedroom 4 has full size bunk beds. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 all have sea views and bedroom 3 has doors opening to the front deck. |
| Bathrooms: | The master bedroom has a beautifully tiled en-suite shower room with sink, wc and spacious shower cubicle. There is also a separate large bathroom with bath and a separate shower cubicle and sink and wc. The tumble dryer is in this bathroom. |
| Kitchen: | The fully equipped kitchen includes a large fridge/freezer, oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, jug kettle, juicer and coffee machine. There is also ample cutlery, cooking utensils, crockery and glasses. |
| Living Rooms: | The spacious lounge has a jet master fire, comfortable sofas, colour satellite TV, CD/cassette player, video player and DVD player with a choice of videos and DVD's to watch. |
| Other: | The open plan dining room has a large table with seating for 8 and window on to the back garden. There is also an extra drinks fridge. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The cottage is professionally managed by our resident family representative who supervises the cleaning of the property and the regular change of towels and linen. All linen - including hand, bath, pool and tea towels - is provided. |
Notes on accommodation
There is a double garage with electric door and a security gate at the bottom of the drive. The house also has a burglar alarm and security system.
It is suitable for children of all ages but guests must be aware of the pool which does not have a fence surrounding it so small children must be watched at all times. We can provide a cot and high chair for no extra charge.
We provide a complimentary welcome food pack including wine and fresh flowers. Tea towels, 'J' cloths, washing up liquid, barbecue charcoal and firelighters are provided. Bedding includes sprung mattresses, duvets, 2 pillows per person. There is a telephone for incoming and local outgoing calls.

Outside
The pretty gardens surround the house with the pool at the front and the barbecue and picnic bench at the back. There are also sun loungers and patio furniture and an outside drying space for washing. From the deck you can see whales and dolphins in the bay at the right time of year and it's perfect for catching the afternoon and evening sunshine.
Coast/Beach
It is about 5 minutes walk to the sandy beach at Glencairn. The beaches at Seaforth with it's beach side restaurant and bar and the Boulders Beach penguin colony are a 5 - 10 minute drive away.
Golf
There are a nuber of very good golf courses within easy driving distance. Please ask for details.
Travel
Cape Town airport is a 40 minute drive from Capel Cottage.
We would recommend car hire in order to see the surrounding areas. We can arrange car hire at very reasonable prices to include transfers to and from the airport.
Distances
Located on the eastern seaboard where the sea is much warmer, you are only minutes away by car from Simons Town, the Boulders Beach penguin colony, the sea-side towns of Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay with their fabulous restaurants & Muizenberg famed for its long broad white sands, surfing and fishing. The city of Cape Town is only 40 minutes by car, as are the busy cosmopolitan resorts of Camps Bay and Hout Bay. The beautiful wine-lands of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are within easy reach.
Further details
The village of Glencairn has a small parade of shops including a supermarket, petrol station and pizza restaurant. This is under 5 miniutes walk from the cottage. Another excellent restaurant - Dixies - is a 10 minute walk away.
In a car there is an excellent choice of restaurants to drive to in nearby Simonstown, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and NordHoek.
There is a train from Glencairn along the coast and in to Cape Town and you can sometimes book Biggsy's restaurant carriage for a champagne breakfast.
Booking notes
We ask for a deposit of 30% and the balance is payable two months before the start of the booking. We take payment by cheque.

Hi Kate, we'll we are back!! Had a fantastic time. The cottage was just perfect, everything you could want in a holiday home. The beach towels were an added bonus....such a pain lugging that sort of stuff out there. Marion could not have been nicer and was a real help with babysitting and doctors sugery details (nothing major!!!!) We finally managed to get the Southern Right Hotel to admit thay had a bouncey castle.....took us 3 attempts! Really, it was a great holiday and we are hoping to return in the not too distant future!!!!
