Lifehouse is an upmarket, yet affordable, self-catering establishment in the heart of the picturesque coastal village of Hermanus. The house is partly Swedish owned. It is an enchanting accommodation base from which to explore the Western Cape.Situated on the shores of Walker Bay, Hermanus is renowned for the best land-based whale watching experience in the world, and within easy reach of Shark Alley, home of the Great White Shark.With its unparalleled scenic beauty, modern infrastructure, upmarket shops and endless adventure options. Hermanus also offers great beaches, mountain walks and the craft market. Our town has many fine restaurants and is a wine lover’s paradise with nearby vineyards offering wine tasting. For golf lovers, Hermanus presents the opportunity to play at two top golf courses. This spacious, modern holiday home is situated close to the ocean, in a quiet street, within walking distance of the town centre. The house has 4 en-suite bedrooms and has a nice Ocean view.

Notes on prices
Rates: A minimum rate of R3000 - includes 3 days and up to 6 adults, all children under the age of 12 years included, a maximum of 10 people (adults & children) in total can be accomodated. A daily rate of R1000/night applies for every day in addition to the 3 days. For more than 6 adults, up to a maximum of 8 adults, a levy of R250/p/d applies on every adult in addition to the base rate of R1000/day that includes 6 adults. A maximum of 8 Adults can be accommodated. Payment & Booking: Email the owner with details with your details, e.g. requested dates and number of people, a quote will be send to you within 24h with payment details. Your booking will be reserved for a 48h period after you confirmed acceptance of the quote. To secure your booking, payment of a R3000 deposit is required within 48 hours of acceptance of the quote. Cancelation Policy: Any cancellation within 14 days of the arrival date will unfortunately means that the R3000 deposit paid is forfeited, i.e. not refundable. If notification of a cancelation is received 14 days and prior to the arrival date, 50% of the paid deposit will be refunded. Key and breakage deposit: A R500 refundable key-return and breakage deposit is payable to the caretaker on the day of arrival. This deposit will be paid back to guests upon returning the keys and remotes to the Caretaker and with the house and its contents being intact and undamaged as it was found when guests arrived. Arrangements should be made with the Caretaker to inspect the house prior to departure if the deposit needs to be returned upon departure or the deposit will be returned by means of electronic transfer within 48h.
Cleaning services: Additional services such as daily cleaning can be arranged with the caretaker and will be additionally charged as per arrangement. If it is good golfing experience you are after, Hermanus has much to offer. The Hermanus Golf Club has become one of the most popular golf courses in the country - a definite 'must play' course. It is also one of the oldest established courses, with a fascinating history dating back to the early 1900s. In 2006 the latest remodelling began and by 2007 the course was extended by the addition of another nine holes by master designer Peter Matkovich. This will establish Hermanus as a 27-hole championship course, further adding to the prestige and reputation of this much-loved institution.
Around 25km from Hermanus, the Arabella 18-hole Championship golf course ranks amongst the finest the world has to offer.
Swimming and sun bathing are possible on numerous beaches. Grotto Beach is the largest beach in the area and has also been proclaimed a 'Blue Flag' beach which ensures its preservation as a world heritage site. Other beaches in the vicinity include Voëlklip, Onrus, Kammabaai and Langbaai.

Location Information: Hermanus is a town with 49,000 inhabitants on the southern coast of the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is famous as a place from which to watch whales during the southern winter and spring and is a popular holiday town. The whales can be seen from the cliffs in the town centre from as early as June and peaks during October and November. Hermanus offers the best land-based whale watching experience in the world and is also share the bay with Gansbaai that is located across the bay being famous for white shark observation charters. Walker Bay is where the whales come to calf all the way from Antarctica to the warmer waters of the Southern Cape Coast every year from June to November. Hermanus lies along the Walker Bay on the south coast of the Western Cape, It is located about 115 km southeast of Cape Town and is connected to the Mother City by the R43 highway (or coastal R44 scenic route) and N2 motorway. The R43 continues to Cape Agulhas, the most southerly point of Africa.
