The suite has a 20 metre balcony with stunning views over Groenvlei and LPL's manicured grounds. Just one mile behind is the Indian Ocean - completely unspoilt as its a marine National Park where sightings of rare African Oyster Catchers are common. Sedgefield is just 3 minutes drive away and the attractions of Knysna are 15 minutes drive. LPL has a stunning infinity edge pool overlooking the lake and a spa if you would like to be pampered. In the lovely gardens is a kid's pool and trampoline. Boats are available to explore Groenvlei.

Lake Pleasant Living has beautiful gardens stretching along some 200 metres of Groenvlei shoreline.

Coast/Beach
The Indian Ocean is just one mile behind the hotel. Beaches stretch for miles in either direction. To the East is a Marine National Park so no development is allowed. To the West Sedgefield has 3 beaches, 2 with lifeguards and the other with safe river swimming.

Golf
The Garden Route has several championship golf courses within easy driving distance of Lake Pleasant Living.

Travel
George airport is one hour's drive, Cape Town airport 4.5 hours and Port Elizabeth airport 2.5 hours drive.

Distances
LPL is in the middle of the beautiful Garden Route region. Knysna and its famous lagoon is some 10 miles to the East.

Further details
Sedgefield - one mile to the West has shops, banks and local restaurants. Knysna is famous for its seafood especially oysters.

Owners are the Everatt family - Neil, Katya and children Kirill, Andrey & Emily. We live in the beautiful Peak District National Park in the heart of England, so it was a prerequisite for any holiday home that the natural setting had to be even more beautiful. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We fell in love with Lake Pleasant the moment we saw it. We loved the manicured gardens running along the lake shore and the glorious views from the giant balcony. The property has all the style and luxuriousness you would expect from its previous history as a 5* hotel. There are many beaches nearby - the nearest less than a mile away "over the dune". It is a great base for exploring the Garden Route, with the attractions of Knysna less than 15 minutes away.
