This attractive family home is surrounded by a beautiful walled garden with its private pool. The house benefits from a recent extension which allows for exterior and interior living and dining. It is 5 minutes by car to a very well stocked local supermarket and 10/15 minutes by car to the centre of Plettenberg Bay which has many high quality shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds and include daily cleaner. A minimum stay of 14 days applies during the period 15 December to 15 January. Outside December and January, discounts are available for longer lets (more than two weeks) or if 4 people or less occupy the property.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Please note that arrivals must be between 3pm and 7pm. Departures must vacate the property by 11am.

Notes on accommodation
Electric heating is installed in the living rooms and bathrooms only. Please note the house is a non-smoking house. The property is ideal for children who can swim but whilst the pool has a cover it is not fenced.
Accessibility
The property has not been adapted for wheelchair users. However, bedroom 4 and the rest of the ground floor internally (except for bedroom 5) is accessible on one level without having to tackle any steps.
Outside
The private pool is approximately 5 metres x 3 metres. The terrace runs the length of the house on the pool side so that al fresco eating is within easy reach of the kitchen.
Coast/Beach
Robberg Beach is 5 minutes by car and one of South Africa's finest family-friendly swimming beaches. The other two Pletteneberg Bay beaches are 10/15 minutes by car away. Sailing, surfing and other water sports and whale and dolphin watching are variously available from these beaches.
Golf
Plettenberg Bay has two golf courses. The Plettenberg Bay Country Club (10 minutes by car) and Goose Vally (10/15 minutes by car). There are several other major courses within easy reach at Knysna (about 35 kilmometres), George (1 hour away) and Mossel Bay.
Travel
The nearest airport is George 1 hour and Port Elizabath 2 hours. SA Express, Kalula and other domestic airlines operate from Johannesburg (1 hour 45 minute flight to George) and Cape Town (1 hour flight from George). Many car hire firms are available at George and Port Elizabeth. There are private taxi companies operating between Plettenberg Bay and George and we can suggest names. Most visitors hire a car.
Distances
The house is 10/15 minutes by car from all the amenities that Plettenberg Bay has to offer. Plettenberg Bay is about 35km from Knysna. 100km from George and about 250km from Port Elizabeth.
Further details
We let our family holiday home on the basis of mutual trust and how we would want to rent a holiday home. You will have a main contact in Plettenberg Bay for fielding queries and who will give you a guided tour of the house on your arrival. When you arrive, the fridge will be stocked with basics such as milk, bread, butter, fruit and wine. It is our home so that if you use eg kitchen or household items, you should buy new ones as you would in your own home.
Plettenberg Bay is a fantastic place to stay in. There really is so much to do. Golf and tennis. Wonderful beaches with water sports and sailing. Keurbooms River with canoeing and kayaking. Walking in the Robberg nature reserve or along the beach at Nature's Valley. Overnight hiking trails at Nature's Valley and Storms River. Mountain biking through the Tsitsikama and Outeniqua forest. Game watching at Buffalos Hills, Knysna Elephant Park and Monkey Land. Dolphin and Whale watching on daily trips around the bay. Deep sea fishing and rock fishing. Polo playing at Kurland. Further afield is Shamwari and Addo Elephant Park - Port Elizabeth. Cango Caves and the Ostrich Farms at Oudtshoorn.
Booking notes
When a booking is confirmed, a 50% deposit of the rental is required in advance. The balance will be payable 1 month before date of arrival. In addition a refundable deposit of 10% (minimum £100) of the rental value is required against breakage.
