Coast/Beach
Houtbay beach is 6 mins on foot. Camps Bay is 15 min and the famous Clifton Beach is 17 mins by car. Houtbay harbour 8 mins by car is a working fishing harbour including some spectacular restaurants specializing in fish. Mariners wharf world famous. Houtbay beach is long and white and sometimes you can see whales or dolphins its great for a walk or a relaxing sunbathe.
Golf
There are a wide selection of golf courses within 30 min drive.

Angling, mountain/forest walks, mountain biking, leisure cruises, whale watching, horseriding, golfing, health club, canoeing, gourmet and wine-tasting. Arts and Craft market, famous chapmans peak drive, sea island trips etc....
Travel
Capetown international airport is approx 40 mins away.
Distances
Lift to the Table Mountain is 20 min drive, 20 min drive to centre of Capetown. Winelands nearest 15 mins drive, larger wine growing areas 40 min drive. Kirstenbosch botanical gardens 20 mins.
Further details
Mainstream the local shopping centre is a 5 min. walk, with banks, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, interior shops, Woolworths which is like our Marks and Spencers which is excellent. In the harbour you can buy fresh fish or have a sun-downer looking over the yachts and fishing boats and maybe see some seals, and the wonderful views of the mountains, or dine there. Seal Island is a boat ride away out of the harbour, which is a lovely experience, so many things happening! Chapmans Peak drive starts at the base of Hout Bay which is a spectacular drive, a must; this drive takes you to Noordhoek beach where you can walk for miles along the white beach or hire a horse!

A 50% deposit secures the booking and is payable within 3 days. The balance is payable in full one month before occupation.

The apartment is first class being tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had a fantastic holiday there and as a base for exploring the Western Cape it is ideally located. Hout Bay has some very good restaurants or on some evenings take a picnic to Chapman’s Peak Drive and look over the bay and marvel at the beauty of the scenery. We look forward to returning one day and have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to others. You will enjoy it! Adrian Aylesbury.
Beautiful and comfortable apartment and ideal base for touring the Cape. Conveniently located for local shops and cafe bars. Our second visit and will be returning again next year. Highly recommended.

I visited South Africa 14 years ago and fell in love with the place, "Africa got in my blood"! I enjoyed the friendliness of the African people and laid back ways of life especially in Hout Bay, Capetown.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I bought a property in the location of Houtbay as it seemed to be the most beautiful place in Capetown mainly because it has a sporting harbour and working harbour, Houtbay is nestled into the mountains, also has a long stunning white beach. Houtbay is centralized to visit surrounding places. I sometimes don't even drive out of Houtbay whilst staying at the property as I am so happy there as it has everything I need, unless you want to adventure out.
Unique benefits of the property
There are some excellent restaurants in Houtbay all different price brackets which is good. Thai, Seafood, Portuguese. Houtbay is a very laid back sleepy place, but also there is a lot happening there so lots to see and do because of the Harbour if you want.
