49 Santa Fe is a 3 bedroom villa built around a courtyard with a natural salt water pool. The villa has a natural and airy feel. There are two double en suite bedrooms upstairs with huge balconies and views to the sea and Table Mountain. The third twin room has double doors opening onto the pool area. The villa is on the La Paloma development which is very family orientated and has 24 hour manned security. The villa is 4 back from the beach and just a few minutes walk away - the sea and Table Mountain are clearly visible from the balconies and you can clearly hear the crashing waves. Shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with king size bed and en suite bathroom. Large balcony looking towards the Atlantic Ocean.
Bedroom 2 with king size bed, en suite bathroom. Large balcony with views of Table Mountain.
Bedroom 3 with twin beds, doors to pool area.
Bathrooms: Both double rooms have en suites both with baths and showers. One has a central 'egg' shaped bath.
Downstairs there is a large wet room with powerful shower for rinsing down when coming off the beach.
There is a separate downstairs toilet.
Kitchen: The kitchen has electric oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dish washer. There is an extensive range of kitchen utensils should you wish to have a dinner party! A large breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the dining area.
Utility Room: The utility area includes a washing machine and separate sink unit.
Living Rooms: There is a large airy lounge with patio doors opening to 2 sides. There are 2 comfy sofas, other seating and an open, wood burning fireplace. Satellite TV, DVD, Stereo. The dining area has a large table with seating for 8.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are included and will be changed once a week. Additional requirements for a maid can be arranged with the local agent.

The villa has full security system and the La Paloma development benefits from 24 hour manned security.

Accessibility
There is a small step up to the front door but apart from that the ground floor, including the twin bedroom, is on one level. There are steps to the first floor.

Outside
The villa has been built around a small courtyard with the pool at the centre. The pool is natural salt water - it is not huge but fine for cooling off and for the kids. There is a long, shady patio with 4 wooden sun beds and a table and chairs. The BBQ is built in on the patio within easy reach of the kitchen. The gardens are landscaped in a minimalist style featuring local stone and plants. The garden is relatively private with high walls and only borders another property on one side. From one of the lounge patio doors there is a privately placed stone table with 4 benches - great for drinks or dinner as the sun sets. There is a large double garage should you need to store a boat or other beach stuff. The area is very quiet and does not suffer from excessive traffic.

Coast/Beach
The fantastic Blouberg Beach is just 5 mins walk away with stunning views of Table Mountain. It runs for several km's and is rarely busy. It is excellent for surfing and there are several child friendly areas near to Blouberg Village 10 mins walk or a short drive. Seals are a common site and whales can be seen in season - the Blue Peter Pub 10 mins walk and on the beach is a favourite for a sunset drink and whale spotting. There is a kids surf school about 10 mins walk away.

Golf
The Atlantic Beach Golf Resort is close by. Non members can book the facilities in advance at the club house. There at least 2 other golf courses, including the stunning Sunset Beach course, within 10 mins drive.

Travel
Cape Town International is about half an hours drive away. Hire car is essential. Central Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront development are under half an hours easy drive - Cape Town does not really suffer from traffic jams! There are shops and restaurants within walking distance of the property but a car is advised to reach a greater choice which are all within easy reach.

Distances
The Wine Lands are about 40 mins drive. An hour’s drive west brings you to St Helena, an old fishing port with great beaches and restaurants. There are several smaller wild life parks within 2 hours drive. A sand dune skiing facility is about 40 mins drive. A trip to Cape Point needs a day really but is worth it. Table Mountain is a half day trip as is a boat trip to Robben Island. There are loads to see in Cape Town central - markets, museums, history, gardens, shops etc.

Further details
There are a couple of good shopping malls within easy driving distance for bigger supermarkets, cheap clothes, book shops, surf shops, fast food and banks. There is a small mall within 10 mins walk with bank/ATM, supermarket, cafe, etc. The old village of Blouberg 15 mins walk / 5 mins drive) has several great restaurants including the Blue Peter Pub (see above). The newer town a 10 min drive has lots of restaurants from fast food to sophisticated. Take away deliveries for Indian, Chinese, pizza, chicken, etc. can be easily arranged from here - there are extensive details in the villa.

Booking notes
We prefer week rentals but can be flexible. Payments are required at least 4 weeks before you arrive payable in GBP to a UK bank account. A £150 returnable deposit is required against damage. There is a checking out fee payable locally of ZAR200 (about £15). Our agent will meet you with the key and show you around. Additional maid services can be booked with her. Electricity is pay as you go. The satellite TV system can be turned on for a fee when you arrive.
