Changeover day

All towels and linen are included (excluding beach towels). The apartment will be cleaned and fully prepared for your arrival (and cleaned once a week thereafter). A hoover, iron and ironing board is provided. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is strictly non-smoking (though smoking is permitted on the communal roof terrace). The apartment is unsuitable for toddlers and small children (3rd floor safety railed balcony). Whilst the apartment does not have central heating, it does benefit from modern portable radiators.
Accessibility
The apartment is unsuitable for those with physical disabilities as the apartment is not serviced with a lift.
Outside
The apartment benefits from a private covered balcony overlooking the Knysna lagoon and the communal roof terrace and braai/BBQ area. The balcony is equipped with a table and four chairs. Under NO circumstances must a braai/BBQ be used on the balcony as it is a covered balcony.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is situated within a 5 min drive of Bollards Beach on Leisure Isle, which is regarded to be a very popular and safe family beach with shallow waters. Other beaches within a short drive include Buffalo Bay (20 mins) and Brenton-on-Sea (15 mins). The Knysna Heads are a 10 min drive from the apartment (not safe for swimming) and are spectacular.
Golf
There are several golf courses located within a 5/10 minute drive of the apartment.
Travel
The nearest airport is George (56km/50mins). Car hire/use of a car is essential.

Knysna town centre 2km/5 mins. Plettenberg Bay 36km/30 mins. George 56km/50 mins. Oudtshoorn 2 hour drive. Cango Caves 3 hours. Cape Town approx 6 hour drive.
Further details
Knysna is spoilt for good restaurants, coffee shops and shopping malls. Restaurant recommendations include JJ's, 34 degrees South, The Dry Dock (water front). For breakfast with a view you cannot beat the East Head Cafe - stunning! There is a Quick Spar within walking distance of the apartment (2 mins) and an excellent 24hr laundry service is provided by the Laundromat next to the Woodmill Lane Shopping Centre.
Booking notes
We have a booking contract for completion and payment of 50% is required at time of booking. Second 50% is due 8 weeks before travel.
