Villa Belica makes a fantastic base to explore Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region. A traditional style Slovenian chalet with quality furnishings, delightful terrace and garden, enclosed by forest on one side and offering a panoramic view of Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain on the other. The villa is situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Bohinj Polje just a few minutes drive or a short walk via a scenic forest path to the majestic Lake Bohinj. A serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests. The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around the Lake - from fly-fishing to mountain biking, from kayaking to mountain walking not to mention excellent on and off piste skiing at the highly respected resort of Vogel and also at Kobla both within 10 minutes drive from the house. There are a variety of tourist facilities in the area including a water park, restaurants, bars, shops and world famous Lake Bled a short drive away.

One ensuite bedroom is on the ground floor along with living room / kitchen, potentially making it accessible for people with mobility problems.

Secluded private garden surrounded by forest on one side and with panoramic mountain views on the the other. Barbecue area, terrace with table, chairs and sun shade. Balcony. Garden is great for kids with no busy roads nearby. Secluded, peaceful and beautiful.

5 minutes drive to Lake Bohinj.
Golf
25km to Bled golf course - an excellent course in a stunning natural setting.
Skiing
Vogel - 10 minutes drive to gondola station. Beautiful resort with good snow record. Suitable for all standards of skiers. Kobla 5 minutes drive to lifts. Great resort for beginners intermediate level with easily accessible pistes. Soriska Planina 20 minutes to lifts - another good resort for beginners - intermediate level. Good snow record.

The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around Lake Bohinj - from swimming and sunbathing to mountain biking, from kayaking to mountain walking not to mention excellent on and off piste skiing at the highly respected resort of Vogel. Mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, canyoning and horse riding are also all possible. There is a water Park with a range of spa and pool facilities in next town 5 minutes drive from the house. A paradise for lovers of outdoor activities!

Hi Dan, Although it’s a couple of weeks since we returned from holiday (to a defunct computer) I wanted to say how much we enjoyed our 12 day stay at Villa Belica recently.
The property was lovely, very comfortable (you can always judge a place by the beds!) and in such a fantastic location. The caretaker’s daughter was very friendly, and although we didn’t need to call on them during our stay I wouldn’t have hesitated to do so if necessary. Also it has been so easy booking - all our queries answered promptly and the directions to the property fantastic. So thank you very much. We had a great time, tackled a lot of hard walks, went riding and canoeing and felt really refreshed on our return. I would quite happily recommend to a friend. Louise Roberts
