The apartment, which sleeps four, is furnished and decorated to a high standard and is regularly upgraded. The large main room (6m x 5m) comprises a lounge with dining area and also includes a well-equipped kitchen area. Though only 50m from the main street of Stockbridge the apartment is very quiet since it looks in the opposite direction with no through road running past. Undercover secure reserved parking for one car is provided in the ground-floor garage. Stockbridge is well supplied with shops, bars, restaurants and convenience stores and it is an easy 15-20 minute stroll through the renowned Georgian "New Town" of Edinburgh to the heart of the city in George St and Princes St. The Water of Leith riverside walkway, the Botanic Gardens, Inverleith Park, and the local swimming baths are also within easy walking distance. Close, regular buses run to the centre of town. The main rail station is 5 minutes away by bus as is the terminus of the airport shuttle bus.

The above prices are the total for a seven night stay in the apartment (not per person) and include heating, electricity, bedlinen,towels and the reserved parking space (there are no extras).
Shorter breaks are available at all times of the year. Please contact us for prices.

Changeover day
We have no set changeover day and bookings are accepted for any number of nights. We do however have a minimum charge equivalent to the cost of a three night stay.

Bathrooms: Bathroom with bath, over-bath shower, hand basin, shaver point, and WC.
Kitchen: Kitchen area with electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Very well-equipped with kitchen tools, cutlery, crockery etc.
Living Rooms: Comfortable lounge with two sofas, dining table, wide-screen TV with digital connections, DVD player, a selection of DVDs, CD player/radio.

Bedlinen, towels provided and included in the price. Cleaner comes weekly.

 

Notes on accommodation
Storage or panel heater in all rooms make the apartment very cosy in winter and therefore suitable for low-season breaks.

Accessibility
The property is accessed by a single straight flight of stairs. The property has no elevator and so is not suitable for those with very restricted mobility.

Coast/Beach
Fine walks can be enjoyed along the shores of the Firth of Forth at Silverknowes and the village of Cramond which are around a 15 minute drive away. Attractive sandy seaside beaches are around a 30 minute drive away along the coast from Aberlady and Gullane to Dunbar.

Golf
Edinburgh and the surrounding area is blessed with a large number and great variety of courses from classic links such as Muirfield, Gullane and North Berwick to fine parkland layouts such as the Royal Burgess, Dalmahoy and Bruntsfield.

Travel
The main railway station (Waverley) is around a 25 minute walk from the property. A no.29 bus runs past the station on Princes St and stops around 200m away from the apartment (fare £1). A taxi will cost around £4-5.
The Edinburgh Airport express shuttle buses which travel every 10 minutes by daytime terminate beside the station on Waverley Bridge. This journey takes about 30 minutes.

We ask for a one-third of the full price to confirm a reservation with the balance being due six weeks before arrival. Payment should be by sterling cheque, travellers cheques or bank transfer.
