Situated in an elevated position directly overlooking the bay and only a 5 minute walk to the centre of this very popular tourist town, the ferry terminal and railway station. A full range of shops, restaurants, bars, a cinema and sports centre with swimming pool are all within walking distance.
The picturesque 18 hole golf course is situated a five minute drive away on the outskirts of the town. Oban is known as 'The Gateway to The Isles' due to the large number of ferries that regularly sail from here to the Western Isles and the Outer Hebrides. There are also various sails to nearby small islands where you can view the local wildlife.

Accessibility
Due to the apartment being situated on the 2nd floor, and without a lift, it is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Outside
The lounge has a large sliding patio window which leads onto a small metal balcony from where you can admire the beautiful views over the bay and to the mountains on the Island of Mull.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach at Ganavan Sands is a 5 minute drive away. The famous "Bridge over the Atlantic" is a 20 minute drive south of Oban and takes you to the beautiful coastal village of Easdale.

Golf
The 18 hole golf course is a 5 minute drive away on the outskirts of the town.

Travel
Glasgow and Edinburgh are approximately a 2.5/3 hour drive away through beautiful glen and mountain scenery.
There is a regular train service from Glasgow to Oban and also a spectacular 30 minute flight by sea-plane from the heart of Glasgow directly into Oban Bay.

Distances
Fort William is a 30 minute drive away along the beautiful shores of Loch Linnhe. The islands of Mull, Tiree, Iona, Skye and many more can be reached by ferry from Oban on a daily basis. The historic village of Kilmartin with its standing stones is a 40 minute drive south of Oban on the coastal road. A few miles further south of Kilmartin is the Crinan Canal terminating in the tranquil and beautiful setting of Crinan Village where you have outstanding views towards the Island of Jura.

Further details
Oban is a perfect base for most outdoor activities, especially mountain climbing (Munro baggers take note). There are numerous forest and hill walks, sailing, diving, bicycle hire, fishing and golf nearby. A cinema, bowling green and a sports centre with swimming pool are all in the town. There are also various restaurants, pubs, banks, two large supermarkets and many local shops. Why not take the ferry to Mull, then catch the local bus and take the short ferry trip to the beautiful island of Iona to visit the famous Abbey. Further information may be found in the apartment relating to local activities, eating out, maps of the area, train and ferry timetables and places of interest. The Tourist Information Office is only a 2 minute walk from the apartment.

Booking notes
£100 deposit is payable on booking. The balance plus £100 security deposit (for any breakages, damage etc) is payable 6 weeks prior to commencement of holiday. The security deposit will be refunded after your holiday. Entry is 4pm on the day of arrival and the apartment must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
