St Andrews is 90 min by car. This is also a perfect location for families, offering beautiful beaches, watersports (surfing at Dunbar), children's golf and all the activities that Edinburgh offers. In addition the world famous Edinburgh festival throughout August offers unparalleled entertainment for all ages. There is an excellent range of shops, pubs and restaurants within a minutes walk from the property.

Beach is 10 minutes walk from the property (2 minute drive). Gullane beach is an award winning beach with sweeping sand dunes and rock pools at low tide. It is renowned locally. Other beaches along the coast include Yellowcraig (with its forest walk and adventure playgroud), Aberlady Bay and North Berwick.
