Coast/Beach
There are several beautiful beaches within an hour's drive of Edinburgh. The closest is Portobello, an eastern suburb of the city and only 15 minutes drive. Further afield there are several in East Lothian and over the Forth Road Bridge in Fife.

Travel
Edinburgh Airport is 8 miles (12km) west of the city centre. There are frequent bus services into the city (£5 return) and taxis are widely available (approx £15 to city centre).
There are several car hire companies situated at the airport. However, nearly all of Edinburgh has controlled residents only parking with pay and display parking for visitors. There are several long stay car parks in the city centre.
Trains arrive in Edinburgh at Waverley Station just off Princes St.

Further details
The Marchmont district is very central being in walking distance of both the Old and the New Town. It is a lively area with lots of cafes and shops and a good restaurant close to the flat.
It is adjacent to the Meadows, a large park where there are several playgrounds and a small pitch and putt course (you do need your own clubs, however).
Edinburgh is very easy to get around on foot, however, Marchmont is well served by buses into the city centre.

25% deposit at time of booking. Balance due 60 days before arrival. Returnable security deposit of £100 due with balance.
