Tucked on the edge of the bustling Borders town of Coldstream, this charming period house offers the best of both worlds. The large, attractive garden is a peaceful, secluded haven with superb views over the River Tweed to the hills beyond. Yet within a few minutes' walk from the house you can be enjoying a local ale in one of Coldstream's three pubs or sampling the local produce at the town's butcher, baker or grocer. Inside, the cosy interior makes the most of the many charming period features including an open fire in the sitting room. The house also has wi fi and Freeview. Outside, the sunny walled garden is a lovely place to relax or even play some croquet! The local area also has a great deal to offer including internationally renowned fishing and shooting, beautiful beaches, over 100 golf courses, riding stables and historic places of interest to visit including Holy Island and Bamburgh, Alnwick and Floors Castles all in close proximity.

Northumberland and the Scottish Borders are a golfer’s paradise boasting over 100 courses from challenging PGA Championship courses, to picturesque links and parkland courses to suit all standards. Special interest holidays
Fishing - The River Tweed has a deserved reputation as one of the world's finest salmon rivers and produces more fish caught to the fly than any other river in Britain. Abbey House is ideally located for anyone fishing the bottom and lower Tweed beats between Berwick and Kelso. There are several prime beats within a ten minute drive from the house including Tillmouth, Lennel and The Lees. There is also excellent trout fishing on the River Tweed for as little as £5 per day.
Travel
The Scottish Borders is easily accessible by car and Coldstream is conveniently located for access to the A1(M). The nearest airports are at Edinburgh and Newcastle, both of which are well served with flights from within the UK and the rest of Europe. Nearby Berwick-upon-Tweed has excellent rail links, with Edinburgh and Newcastle just 40 minutes away and London Kings Cross to Berwick from 3.5 hours by train.
