Golf Cottage is a traditional, detached Victorian cottage which retains many of its period features including an open fire; situated in Elie, a delightful village by the sea in the East Neuk of Fife, 10 miles from St Andrews and one hour from Edinburgh. The self-catering property, with its lovely open fire, is tucked away and sits within its own private fully bound walled gardens which, in the summer time, gets the sun all day. The cottage is perfectly located for golf courses (there are 30 within a 15 mile radius and two are just next door!) and it is a 1 minute walk to the lovely stretch of golden, sandy Elie Beach. There are numerous pubs and restaurants (to suit all budgets) a walk away and so much to see and do in this beautiful part of Scotland. Once the cottage is booked, a welcome folder is sent out so you can start planning your stay before you arrive.

Generally Saturday to Saturday but can be flexible in the silly season.

Notes on accommodation
Vestibule (with original mosaic floor) is great storage space for golf clubs, bikes etc.
Accessibility
Good downstairs accommodation to suit people who are mildly indisposed. Not good wheelchair access though.
Outside
Patioed and chipped garden (with a palm tree in the garden!). Gets the sun all day in the Summer. The garden is private and child/dog proofed! Great storage for bikes/golf clubs etc.
Coast/Beach
Around the corner from the beach which is two miles of golden sands - just perfect. Safe for swimming and child friendly.
Golf
30 golf courses within a 15 mile radius! The cottage door opens out onto the fourth fairway of a famous Scottish golf course, Elie and Earlsferry. 10 miles from St Andrews (home of golf).
Travel
Edinburgh Airport: 35 miles.
Kirkcaldy Station (railway): 40 minute drive.
St Andrews: 10 minutes away.
Distances
St Andrews: 10 miles.
Edinburgh: one hour.
Glasgow: two hours.
