Guest comments
We had a wonderful week!
The bungalow was spacious, accessible, quiet, and in idyllic surroundings. We visited Oban (1 1/2 hours), Inverary (the Castle is a must), and Dunoon. Best food was a reasonably priced pub meal (£77 for four people) at the very homely Stagecoach Inn in Cairndow, who do fish dishes as well as haggis, Steak and Loch Fyne Ale Pie, and lovely deserts. They also stock real ale from Loch Fyne Ales - we reserved Table 5 with a view of Loch Fyne as the sun set.
Best walk we did was towards Ardtinney and back from Carrick on the new footpath - steep and hilly over some small waterfalls, but great views of Loch Goil and Loch Long.Take a picnic. My son loved fishing from the pier at LochGoilhead, and caught his first mackerel there. Alan, 16 August 2010

We found the accommodation comfortable, clean and well equipped.
The location is excellent, very remote and an ideal get-away from it all.
We all had a great time, many thanks! Paul, August 2009

Owner profile

About the owner
I am a mother of two small children, and we have had many enjoyable holidays to France. Six years ago my parents moved to Burgundy and very soon after my husband and I decided we wanted to buy a property there - we loved the area so much. My mum and Dad look after the house for us, and try to be there to greet guests whenever possible. I know what its like taking small children on holiday and as a result we have made Le Chevalier Gris as child-friendly as possible. There is a proper cot available, a stair-gate and some toys.
