Guest comments
What a find! This is certainly not your average rental property, this is a home from home in the midst of some breathtaking scenery. We were often found gazing throught the sun lounge windows at the ever changing sky and waving excitedly at the passing steam trains.

Its a wonderfull cottage. Thank You. Views fantastic. Cottage so well presented, loved your style. Really appreciated all you provided, all the little extras. Thank you we've had a great time.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable relaxed stay in this perfect cottage location. Would love to come back in the summer and experience the steam train and more of the wonderful coastline.

Owner profile

About the owner
We have lived in Surrey all our lives, have 2 grown upish children who still live at home with us. My passion is animals mainly dogs and horses. We keep a varied selection of animals ranging from an owl and a turkey, donkey and horses, and my beloved dogs.

Year purchased: 2008

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We,d been looking for a cottage in the Highlands for about 3 years as we so love the area, so much so we even got married in Fort William 21 years ago. We,d started to give up our search when Craigmhor came up on my laptop and I knew that this was the one. We flew up next day, fell in love and bought it. The cottage has been our passion over the last 3 years and we retreat there as often as we can. The area is stunning with the most beautifull white sandy beach only minutes away. The cottage is remote away from everything but has the benefits of easy access to amenities including good places to eat. Having rented holiday cottages in the highlands for the last 25 years or more we have tried to present and equip our cottage to the standards that we would expect in a holiday cottage.

Unique benefits of the property
Although we do not have tv reception due to the situation of the cottage, we do provide Wi Fi and should you take a laptop I have provided good quality speakers, and in this day and age you can watch almost anything via the internet. My top priority is comfort so all bedding and linen's are quality cotton and feather duvets and feather toppers. We also provide a good sized selection of dvd's which can be played on our large flat screen tv with surround sound. We welcome dogs at the cottage, the area is great for walking and during the winter months you could be the only one on the beach, great for dogs. And finally of course being a Linesmans Cottage, if your into Steam Trains during the summer the Jacobit passes by twice daily which I can promise is quite a sight.
