Changeover day
Friday/Saturday changeover day, depending on bookings but can be flexible. Short breaks can also be arranged. Arrival time 2.30pm - 5pm. Welcome pack provided. Departure times by 11.00am.

Accessibility
Inside the cottage it is completely on one level with plenty of room for maneuvering wheelchairs etc if required. A couple of small steps to actually step into the cottage.
Outside
Garden completely around the cottage. Barbecue and outdoor furniture can be provided depending on the time of year and the weather!
Coast/Beach
Pittenweem is located on the coast. The cottage is situated on a farm about 2 miles out of the village. The coast line is beautiful and you can walk right along it from Elie to Crail if you are feeling energetic. St Andrews is 10 miles away and it has great long sandy beaches. Elie is 4 miles away and is great for families in the summer.
Golf
Pittenweem is a old fishing village located in the East Neuk of Fife. As you will know Fife is famous for many things but golf courses are in abundance here. We are superbly located for St.Andrews, Crail, Kingsbarns, Lundin Links and Elie just to name a few.
Travel
Edinburgh International Airport - approximately 1 hours drive. Dundee Airport - 40 minutes drive. Use of a car would be great to be able to tour around Fife and Scotland however if you are keen walkers everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. We have fantastic walks though the farm leading to Anstruther and Pittenweem.

Further details
We have so many fantastic restaurants and pubs in Fife. Elie has a restaurant that has just been awarded a rosette. Great seafood restaurants in St Andrews and St Monans. Banks are in Anstruther/St Andrews. A supermarket is available in Anstruther or there are plenty in St Andrews. There is a great farm shop on the way to Elie which sells delicious local produced goods. There are swimming pools nearby, kids playbarns inside and outside.

25% deposit payable to confirm booking-non transferable. Full amount required 4 weeks prior to booking date. Booking is for a maximum of 6 people unless by prior arrangement. Hirer will be responsible for and damages or breakages. Smoking not permitted inside the property. Pets welcome by prior arrangement and a deposit.

About the owner
Hello. My name is Sally and my husband and I own The Selms. It is a detached country cottage located on our farm. After 7 years of marriage, 4 children all under the age of 5, I have finally managed to refurbish the cottage. It has taken a while but we are really pleased with the end result and all our guests to date have been delighted with it. As farming goes we are busy from March through to November with broccoli, potatoes, cereals and delicious Scottish strawberries!The cottage is on a country road past the main farmhouse and away from the main farm buildings. I really hope you can come and visit us in the East Neuk!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
It was part of the farm when we bought Easter Grangemuir which has been in the Brown family since 1964. The area we live in is a beautiful spot of Fife, lots to do and see.
