Extra bank holiday in the UK in June 2012 to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
In 2012, we get another extra bank holiday in the UK! This time in June to mark the Queen’s 60 years on the throne. The extra bank holiday will be on Tuesday 5th June and the May Day bank holiday will be moved to Monday 4th June to make for a four day weekend.
The Diamond Jubilee weekend will take place just a few weeks before the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
