Sami self-catering holiday homes are set in and around a picturesque harbour town on the east coast of Kefalonia. It’s a part of the island with particularly dramatic shoreline, not to mention two exceptional beaches – Paliouras and Antisamos, which is backed up by tall wooded hills. Also not far from Sami holiday accommodation is Myrthos beach, found in yet another spectacular setting and regarded as one of the most beautiful expanses of coastline on the planet. In between, the shore on this side of the island is dotted with hidden coves and small, pebbled beaches, so you’re sure to find a lovely spot all to yourself close to Sami villas.
There are some must-see attractions within a short drive of Sami holiday apartments. The two caves in the area are particularly impressive; Melissani is a stunning underground lake, open to the sky, which creates a wonderful array of colours in the afternoon. Nearby Drogarati is similarly inspiring, with important geological features like stalagmites and stalactites. For the energetic, the mountain scenery that forms the backdrop to Sami holiday apartments is very rewarding. You can follow one of the many trails by bike or on foot, and explore an ancient landscape scattered with historic vineyards and forests.
