Beautifully restored and fully modernised village house. Totally quiet and peaceful with a large garden and far views to the mountains and wooded hills. You can enjoy the traditional life of the village, where horse drawn carts, geese, chickens and ducks take the place of cars. The fields, woods and pastures that surround the village are a mass of wild flowers and herbs (hay is cut by hand; early in the morning you can see the cows being taken to pasture and in the evening their return - usually only 2 or 3 at a time). You can pick bowls full of wild strawberries, blueberries and, in the Autumn you can pick mushrooms. In the evening come back to a cosy wood-burning stove or, in summer sit on the cool terrace, look at the stars and barbecue your supper. A stream runs down the hill just outside the property and joins the river where the children of the village bathe.

All the profit from letting Pensione Trifolia will go to supporting the 17 children who live in our three houses in Harja. Some of them have been with us for 13 years. Almost all of them came from orphanages and our aim is that they should be able to stay until they want to leave home. Their ages are from 5 to 16.

Large garden with steps up to the hill which is part of the property and from which there are wonderful views of the mountains and the rest of the village. Big patio with seating.

Bucharest airport 4 hours drive. Car hire essential.
Distances
Harja village withing walking distance. Brasov 100km - interesting ancient town with cobbled streets. Horse riding available 80km.
Further details
Harja village shop supplies the essentials. Onesti 30km - has extremely good market with particularly good local fruit and vegetables also banks and supermarkets. There is an excellent restaurant 12km towards Brasov where the food is both Hungarian and Romanian - good atmosphere.
