Riederalp self-catering accommodation is set on Valais, at one of Switzerland’s top ski areas. It’s set in the celebrated Aletsch ski region, which contains Fiescheralp, Bettmeralp and Riederalp, and is served by 30 lifts, ensuring minimal waiting times, with runs close to Riederalp holiday chalets to suit all ability levels. The resort is well equipped, offering snow school for youngsters and novice skiers, and there’s terrain for cross-country skiing at Goms, snowboarding and of course, downhill skiing. Also in winter around Riederalp self-catering ski apartments are some lovely walking trails, taking in the spectacular snowscapes in the area, especially towards the Monsfluh summit station.
In the summer you’ll find plenty to enjoy around Riederalp holiday apartments. There are the picturesque and traditional villages and Greich and Goppisberg, which are listed as Swiss Heritage Sites. Also close by, and worth visiting at any time of year, is the Aletsch Glacier. It sits no more than a few minutes from Riederalp ski chalets, and is the largest in the Alps.
