Safe installed for valuables. No single sex groups or groups of young adults. No smoking at all in apartment or on balconies. If, upon departure, it is discovered that there has been smoking in the apartment, £100/€150 will be deducted from refundable deposit to pay for extra cleaning of bedding, curtains, rugs, etc.

Notes on prices
Price is for 4 persons per week. Discount available for under occupancy. Extra charge for 5/6 persons. Children count as full person. Under twos free. Cost is as per price table with no extras. Refundable deposit of £150/€200 against breakages. A call out fee of 50 £/euros per incident for such things as locking oneself out of apartment requiring attendance of letting manager, lost keys (plus cost of replacement) etc, will be deducted from deposit.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Please contact owners to make firm arrangements. Access on the day you arrive is after 2 o'clock and you need to leave the apartment by 11 o'clock on departure day.

About the area
Accessibility
Fully accessible for wheelchair use. All areas have access to lift except roof terrace which has short flight of stairs. Lift from basement garage to apartments. Easy access to pool and garden (no steps). Not specifically constructed or adapted.
Outside
Lovely well kept landscaped gardens surrounding small, secluded, communal swimming pool. Sunloungers and mattresses provided for use by pool. Shower and WC at poolside. Beach chairs and umbrellas available free of charge.
Coast/Beach
Meia Praia Beach is a wide sweep of golden sand, 4 km long which edges the Bay of Lagos and is 10-15 min walk away or few mins by car. It is spacious, clean and safe for bathing. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired for a very reasonable fee. Dotted along it are excellent beach cafes and restaurants serving the best of local produce. Other beaches such as Dona Ana are easily reached by car or a longer walk. The whole coast is full of wonderful beaches and beach activities. Details in info pack.
Golf
The best of the Algarve's golf courses are only minutes away. Palmares is 5 min drive down next to Meia Praia Beach and Boavista is 10 - 15 min drive to the west. A little further afield is Parque da Floresta to the west and Penina championship course to the east.
How to get there
From Faro Airport it is 74Km and about an hour by car. Taxi or minibus from airport into Faro bus or train station under 10 Euros. Train or bus from Faro centre to Lagos about 6 or 7 Euros. Shuttle services are widely advertised at about €50 pp return. A car is not essential but very useful if you want to explore the fabulous sights of the Algarve coast (or go shopping in the huge malls at Albufeira and Portimao!) Internet searches for car hire from Faro Airport should provide plenty of choice.
Distances
Lagos Town centre is 10 min walk through the Marina and over the pedestrian bridge. The station is 5 mins walk and the bus station 10 mins. Lisbon is about 280 km away and the train goes there as do the buses - but it's a long journey. All other places of interest are within easy driving distance of Lagos. Cape St Vincent, the most western point of Europe is worth a visit and is about half an hour's drive. Luz and Burgau, Alvor and Portimao are all worth seeing.
Further Details
You might find that you barely have enough time to investigate all that Lagos and its environs have to offer. The restaurants, cafes and pubs are excellent. Food is fresh and not expensive. Wines are wonderful. The local supermarkets stock everything you could need and understand the needs of foreign visitors very well indeed. There are markets held in Lagos or round and about most days. Loule market is easily accessible by train as the station in Loule is right next to the market. Dancing on some Friday nights to Brazilian music in the town centre is fun. For football and other sports fans, there are several very good pubs and cafes with TV coverage of all sports. The best way to get the most out of your visit is to do some internet research yourself or use the information pack provided in the apartment. Whatever you do here, you will have a fabulous time!
