Small balcony, West facing for afternoon and evening sun. Two pools, one large and one baby pool, clean and well maintained. Tennis court. Several snack bars, cafes and shops on the complex. A stone's throw from everything that Alvor has to offer. Location. location, location!
Coast/Beach
The beach is 7 minutes walk away. Alvor beach wows holidaymakers with its expansive sandy beaches, first-rate seafood and idyllic location overlooking the Bay of Lagos.
Golf
There are many world class courses all over The Algarve, the courses that are close to Alvor are: Alto Golf, 5 minutes drive.
Penina Championship Golf, 12 minutes. 'The grandfather of courses in the Algarve'. Quinta do Morgado, 12 minutes. Carvoeiro Golf, 20 minutes. Gramacho Golf, 30 minutes. Silves Golf, 30 minutes.
Travel
Alvor is 45-60 minutes from Faro airport. We can arrange transfer to and from the airport. Car hire car be arranged at airport or locally in Alvor.
Distances
Places nearby are the famous town of Portimao/Praia da Rocha (10 minutes), the fantastic town and marina of Lagos (25 minutes) the Mountain Spa town of Monchique (35 minutes), the beautiful Spanish town of Seville ( 2 hours).
Further details
Alvor is an atmospheric and much loved fishing village located on an extensive estuary which provides a fantastic vista and includes a wild life sanctuary. This aspect can be viewed from a long waterside promenade. The region also has an extensive sandy beach. A maze of cobbled and narrow streets contain houses which are largely occupied by local inhabitants together with many restaurants some of whom barbecue fish on the pavements. In the surrounding area from the apartment numerous other restaurants can be visited to suit all tastes and budgets. For example Portimao is principally a Portuguese working town and it is an easy matter to eat where the locals do at much less cost. Details are provided in the apartment of restaurants and many leisure activities which are kept updated. It is also possible to book many organised excursions (Seville, Lisbon, Gibraltar etc) from the reception. Metered Taxis are easy to acquire and fares are reasonable (eg 5 euro to Portimao/Praia da Rocha, 30 euro to Lagos). Cash Machines are readily available outside banks and inside the majority of both small and large supermarkets. English is widely spoken in shops, bars and restaurants in the area.
Booking notes
25% deposit on booking, balance payable within 4 weeks of departure. £100 refundable deposit also required for breakages and keys. Arrival time after 14.00 and departure time before 10.30.
