Recently upgraded and equipped, this very spacious fully tiled apartment has two good sized bedrooms with a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The main entrance is set just back from the road, with free parking, and has full wheelchair access. There are lifts, stairs and underground parking. The complex has a selection of restaurants/snack bars/cafes, a good mini market and a 24 hour reception area. Internet access is available in most cafe and bars. There is a pharmacy round the corner and the taxi rank is a couple of minutes walk away. The fishing village of Alvor has a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars all within a few minutes walk of the complex. The promenade area has cafes overlooking the estuary and there are various fishing and sightseeing trips available. Further along the promenade is the recently built sports complex with an indoor pool. The stunning golden sands of Alvor beach with its boardwalk and beach bars are an easy walk away.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is strictly non smoking. There are room fans. There is a hairdryer in the apartment. Internet access is now freely available in many of the snack bars in Alvor.
Accessibility
The complex has wheelchair accessibility and, being on a level setting, it is suitable for all ages. The apartment is on the second floor with three lifts and two entrances.
Outside
The large resident only pool area has an attendant and there are sun loungers and umbrellas available at a small weekly charge. There is also a small pool for the young and a lovely garden area with some shade. Tennis is available on the complex at an extra cost.
Coast/Beach
Alvor has a stunning wide golden sandy beach that is miles long from end to end. Daily cleaning ensures the highest of standards and there are plenty of beach bars and a range of watersports for hire. The sea is fresh and invigorating and has a lifeguard service at high season in designated areas.
Golf
There are many golf courses in the surrounding area. For up to date information and course prices visit the very helpful tourist information office in the town square.
Travel
Faro International airport is under an hour away by car. Car hire is available through various operators and local taxis are well regulated, safe and reasonably priced. There is a good local bus service and a train station in nearby Portimao. Generally public transport is of a good standard. Airport transfers can be arranged if required at a cost of 45 euros which is paid to the driver. A car is not essential in Alvor as there is a huge variety of activities, restaurants, bars and shopping.

Portimao harbour and centre 15 mins, Praia da Rocha 10 mins, Lagos marina and town centre 25 mins, Monchique mountain village 45 mins, Faro airport 45 mins, Algarve Shopping Mall at Guia 25 mins. Silves 40 mins. All times are approximate depending on route chosen.

Alvor has a full range of facilities with a post office, supermarket, shops, pharmacies, wifi in bars and cafes, art galleries, health spas, hairdressers, laundries, ATMs, and travel agents. There are markets held weekly and monthly in the surrounding areas and plenty of fresh local produce on sale at the local daily market.
