Changeover day
The apartment will be available after 2pm on the first day of arrival. The apartment must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. We will do all we can to accommodate your requirements should you wish to book for anything other than weekly rentals.

Bathrooms: A well appointed contemporary bathroom with bath, shower, large hand-basin with storage space underneath, WC and bidet. Fully tiled with electric socket for shaver. Hairdryer provided. Large mirror above hand-basin.
Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen-built-in oven/hob, extractor fan, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle and sandwich toaster. A large selection of utensils, pots, pans, cutlery, china and glasses. Iron, ironing board and airer
Living Rooms: 2 piece suite, 3 seater settee and comfy chair. Dining room table and chairs. Radio, TV and DVD combo. Additional seating, converting to a double bed, made up prior to arrival if more than 2 guests. Access to terrace via patio doors.
Other: Hallway with large built-in double wardrobe with shelving, drawers and safe. 4 tennis racquets and balls provided.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The apartment is cleaned thoroughly prior to the start of each rental period and again at the end. Linen is provided but towels are not.

 

Notes on accommodation
Dual purpose air conditioning and heating units to accommodate both summer and winter months. Large triple terrace with table and 4 chairs (with cushions), 2 loungers / rockers (with head-rests) and 2 occasional tables, 2 casual chairs and side table. No smoking in the apartment or on the terrace please. No pets.

The terrace benefits from pleasant views over pools and large, private, well maintained landscaped gardens. Changing rooms/WC and sun loungers are by the pool. Astro-turf tennis court within the grounds for use by residents. Car parking space.

Coast/Beach
The 'Maria Luisa' beach is just a 10 min walk from the apartment. Try the 'Bar da Julia' for snacks, drinks and ice-cream. The 'Santa Eulalia' beach is a 5 min drive away. The appealing 'Cafe Bar Atlantico' offers an array of meals and drinks. The 'Restaurante Santa Eulalia', alongside the Cafe Bar Atlantico, offers a choice of fish and meat dishes - and & kids menu. Enjoy the sophisticated, 'alfresco', appeal of both venues, on the cliffs, above the beach. Both are blue flag beaches.

Golf
The Balaia Golf Village, sporting a 9-hole golf course, is conveniently located next door to the complex. Pine Cliffs course is some 5 mins drive away. The 'Golden Triangle' golf courses of Vilamoura, Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago are within easy driving distance. The Algarve was voted the best golfing destination of 2006 - ahead of other locations such as Dubai, Florida and the Costa del Sol. This for the 2nd time, by the International Association of Golf Operators (IAGTO).

Travel
Faro International Airport is just 30 mins from the apartment. Average flight time from the UK is 2 hours 30 mins. Car hire available at Faro airport - e.g: Europcar associated with EasyJet for discounts. Public transport and good taxi services also available.

Distances
Supermarket, Balaia Golf Village and gymnasium 5 mins walk. Santa Eulalia beach 5 mins drive. Maria Luisa beach and Olhos d'Agua 10 mins walk. Albufeira 3km. Vilamoura 8km. Algarve shopping (large mall) 15 mins drive. Pera Sand Extravaganza (May-Sep) 20 mins drive. Zoo Marine 20 mins drive. Krazy World (Algoz via Quia), Karting (Almancil), Aquashow Family Park (water park) are 25 mins drive. Forum Algarve with large mall in Faro 30 mins.

Further details
Cruises - enjoy the splendour of the Algarvian coast, long sandy beaches, cliffs, rock formations, caves & old fishing villages from the sea. At Vilamoura marina you'll find a number of different suppliers, offering a range of cruise options, from 3 hours to a full day cruise of 7 hours. The full day option usually includes lunch & depending on the supplier you choose, may be served on board or on the beach. Look for those including auxiliary boat excursions to the coastal caves (weather permitting) as part of the cruise. The more expensive option at Vilamoura is 'Champagne Cruises' offering a 2 hour 'champagne lunch', 'coastal' or 'sunset' cruise of the 'dolphin search'.
Pera boasts the world's largest sand display. Open from May to September, different themes are adopted each year. Best at night when illuminated. A 20 minute drive from the apartment - exit at motorway junction 8.
Zoo Marine celebrated 15 years in 2006. Enjoy dolphin, seals / sea lions, birds of prey & parrot displays. Swimming pools, a 3-D cinema, eateries & shops are all on site. Try the dolphin interaction session - quite pricey but a once in a lifetime experience.
Krazy World (Algoz via Quia) offers a variety of experiences. Options include 'Jungle' or 'Krazy' golf, swimming pools, Amazonia reptile park, petting farm, pony rides & restaurant. Visit their site for further details.
Water parks - the 'Aqua show Family Park' has been voted the No.1 in the Algarve. It can be found on the road to Quarteria (just off the N125). 'Aqualand' proudly boasts being the biggest of them all & is close to Alcantarilha, between Albufeira and Portimao.
Karting at Almancil - inaugurated by Ayrton Senna, the track is a 0.5 mile replica of the Brazilian 'Jacarepagua' racing circuit know in F1 circles. Open throughout the year from 10am, the site boasts an additional junior track, radio-controlled racing, mini-boats, trampoline area, rodeo bull-riding & snack bar.

Booking notes
Deposit of £100 per week to secure & confirm bookings. Remaining rental balance due no later than 6 weeks before rental period. A key/security deposit of £100 is also payable - refundable subject to return of keys, no additional cleaning, nor damage.
