The villa can be rented alone for up to 4 people, or with the annex bedroom suite for up to 6 people. A roll away bed or cot can be provided in the annex bedroom for an additional child under 10 or baby. Secure entry to the villa garden. Off street parking for one car although a car is not at all necessary for a holiday at this property.

Prices are per week unless otherwise stated.
Pool heating is included in the price April - October. Winter (November - March) pool heating on request at surcharge. Household heating and firewood included in winter and low season prices (October to April). Winter minimum let 5 days, winter long lets in excess of 20 days will be subject to a discounted rate. Open plan living space comprises; living room with two large sofas either side of fireplace with log burner, TV and freeview digibox, DVD player, and CD player, glazed doors to garden. Fitted kitchen has electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, etc. Dining area with table seating up to 8, glazed doors to garden. Bedroom 1 has a Queen size bed, glazed doors to garden, and ensuite shower room with shower, basin, WC. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Adjacent bathroom with bath and overhead shower, basin, WC. Private walled garden with purpose built barbecue area and shaded dining under a flowering pergola. Sunbeds around the pool and shade under a beautiful mature palm tree. Heated pool (7m x 4.5m), has built-in steps and a cover. Washing machine housed in outside laundry room. Outside shower by the pool. The Folly, as described above, may be rented with the annex guest suite to extend the accommodation to up to 6 + 1 child or baby. The annex is just across the patio from the main villa overlooking the pool. The accommodation comprises bedroom with twin beds, and ensuite shower room with shower, basin and WC. The annex is not suitable for young children to occupy alone, as it has direct access to the pool area. However, the bedroom can accommodate an additional cot or rollaway bed so may be occupied by up to 2 adults and one infant or child under 10.

Notes on accommodation
The property is cleaned on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Household linens are provided. Linen change Saturday. Household towel change Saturday and Tuesday. Please bring your own towels for beach and poolside. The washing machine is provided solely for guest use (not used by maid service). Firewood and use of wafer heaters are included in the rental price in winter. Pool heating is included in all seasons except winter.

Accessibility
There are no kerbs or steps within the house or garden, or out to the roadside and down to the pedestrianised beachfront promenade with its cafes and shops. This villa and its location is therefore a good choice for those with small children and pushchairs, and those with limited mobility. The bathrooms however cannot be considered as wheelchair accessible. Praia da Luz beach is now classified as fully accessible, and has good facilities for the disabled.

Outside
There is a secure gate at the entrance to the property, and outside there is off street parking for one car in a covered port. (however a car is not at all necessary for a holiday at this villa) Outside, and along the beachfront, the road is for pedestrians and resident parking only. Pool man and Gardener attend weekly. The garden offers a high degree of privacy for sunbathing or shaded sitting under the mature palm tree. Garden lights and pool lights, and built in barbecue with dining area provide for evening entertainment. The pool, 7m x 4.5m, is heated at no surcharge, and has a cover. There is an outside shower by the pool.

Coast/Beach
Praia da Luz is arguably one of the prettiest beaches in the Western Algarve, sporting the european blue flag. East are small beaches within picturesque rocky coves and the long sandy crescent beach of Meia Praia at Lagos, all within 10 minutes drive. Within 15 minutes to the West are the family resort beaches of Burgau and Salema, and further again are a multitude of beaches including those frequented by surfers, Spectacular and less busy but perhaps not so safe for small children.

Golf
There are 4 golf courses within 5 - 20 minutes of Luz, the nearest and most recently completed being Quinta da Boavista. There is also the challenging, hilly course at Parque da Floresta to the west, and Palmares and Penina, both east of Lagos. For parties of all day golfers in low season and winter we can arrange in villa catering for full breakfast and evening meals as required.

Travel
Faro is the nearest airport at only 1 hours drive away. We can arrange car hire or taxi transfer for you.

Further details
The property is centrally placed and within very short walking distance to all village amenities which include post office, bank, cash dispensing machines, several supermarkets, internet cafe, pharmacy, English-speaking doctors surgery and dentist. Zoomarine dolphin park and Slide and Splash water park provide coach transport from Luz. Anglican church services are held on Sunday in the local church. Tennis is available, including lessons and friendly tournaments. There are two water-sport centres on the beach providing everything from banana boat rides, to sailing lessons, to fishing excursions. From Lagos you can try parasailing, deep-sea fishing, dolphin safari, or visit the grottos by fishing boat. There are several surf centres offering day trips to wherever the waves are best on the day, wetsuits, equipment and instruction as required. Luz can offer a wide choice of cafes and restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes. For a change of scene we recommend an evening out in the historic town of Lagos. The 8 minute taxi ride is inexpensive - let us book for you and just sit back and enjoy the local wines.
