Prices quoted are for the whole apartment which sleeps from 2 up to 4 guests comfortably. Flexible arrival/departure days. Payments accepted by cheque, bank transfer or credit card. Long term winter lets welcome. Great value for money for accommodation of this high standard. £50 supplement for Christmas and New Year bookings. Proceeds from bookings are used to keep the apartment in tip top condition.

Arrival and departure days are flexible to allow you to take advantage of low cost flights. If you require a late checkout please ask at the time of booking and we will accommodate you wherever possible.

On your arrival at the apartment, Corinne, our apartment manager will be there to greet you and to ensure your holiday gets off to a great start. You can contact Corinne at any time during your stay should you need any assistance. This high spec apartment, has brand new furniture and is located on the second floor of the much sought after Don Manuel Complex within 'Lagos Marina'. Said to be one of the most beautiful Marina's in Europe, it offers a fine selection of waterfront bars and restaurants. Just a stroll across the footbridge from the Marina is the atmospheric town of Lagos where you can enjoy the charm and history of the Portuguese culture. Fantastic climate, warm sunshine all year round! For your peace of mind the Marina provides 24 hour security. The apartment has full air-con and is fitted with a safe. There is a supermarket to the rear of the complex. A car is not required as all Lagos has to offer is within walking distance of the apartment. Central yet peaceful location.

Outside
The apartment is perfectly located in the exclusive and idyllic setting of the highly acclaimed Don Manuel complex, yet it is close enough to reach all Lagos has to offer on foot. A car is not required. Guests staying in this lovely complex have exclusive use of the large swimming pool and separate children’s pool, beautifully maintained gardens, sun loungers and parasols. This is quite unique as Don Manuel is the only complex within the Marina to boast its own private swimming pool! The garden area is gated to ensure it maintains its exclusivity and also to provide privacy for its guests. There is only a small number of apartments on this sought after complex which has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and offers its guests the space to unwind and fantastic facilities to enjoy. There is a supermarket just across the road to the rear of the apartment. There truly is something for everyone here and with everything on your doorstep you can do as much or as little as you choose.
Coast/Beach
The beaches and coastline around Lagos are regarded as the most beautiful in the Algarve! An easy and flat 8 min walk from the apartment is the stunning 'Meia Praia' beach. Here the soft, golden sand stretches as far as the eye can see! A visit to one of the Beach Bistros is a must, great for lunch or just to have a drink and watch the sun go down! The Western Algarve is famous for its year round warm sunshine, world class beaches & stunning scenery! Watersports, sunbeds and parasols available.
Golf
An ideal base for golfers, the town of Lagos offers a plentiful supply of bars and restaurants while a short car drive will take you to a host of magnificent courses. (see owners website for more details). Palmares - 5 mins drive, is one of the most scenic courses in the Algarve, with most of the holes laid out on the gentle slopes above Meia Praia beach, overlooking the Bay of Lagos. BoaVista - 5 mins drive, provides a variety of attractive and interesting holes set against a glorious backdrop of the clear atlantic ocean. Parque da Floresta - 15 mins drive, set in a dramatic and steep sided valley is currently the only course west of Lagos.
Also close by is the the championship Penina Golf course designed by Henry Cotton and recently hosted the Portuguese open.
Travel
Many airlines fly from the UK to Faro including: EasyJet, RyanAir, Jet2, Monarch, BA, BmiBaby and Flybe. From the airport, the apartment is a pleasant 45 min drive along a quiet motorway. Private airport transfers can be arranged for you, Mr Santana, the driver we use regularly, can meet you in arrivals and take you directly to the apartment. Once there a car is not needed as everything is within walking distance. Should you prefer to hire a car there is ample free parking at the complex.
Distances
Marina waterfront bars, restaurants & shops a gentle 5 min stroll. Atmospheric Lagos town centre is only a 10 min stroll. Huge Beach an 8 min flat walk. Supermarket just across the road to the rear of the apartment! Bus & train station 5 min walk. The beautiful rock formations of 'Ponta da Piedade' & Dona Ana Beach are only a short walk. 20mins drive is ZooMarine, where you can swim with the dolphins! Silves & Sargres with castles & fortresses. The perfect base for exploring this beautiful area.

No smoking in the apartment, only on the balcony please. Towels are provided for use inside the apartment, however you are kindly requested to bring towels for use on the beach and by the pool. About the owner
'Getting away from it all' is something my husband and I look to do whenever we have the opportunity! At home in Huddersfield, work and family keep us very busy, it is our trips to Lagos which keep us going! No phones ringing, time to relax and enjoy each others company and most importantly making the most of the year round sunshine the Algarve provides! We love eating alfresco at one of the many restaurants in Lagos, exploring the historical town and taking afternoon strolls along the beach. Prior to buying the apartment in Lagos, we always sought to stay in high quality accommodation offering the same levels of comfort that we enjoy at home. I can honestly say we have achieved this, creating a stylish and welcoming home in the sun. I hope you get as much enjoyment from it as we do.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Once we discovered Lagos we knew this was the place for us! Beautiful historical town, best beaches in the Algarve, great restaurants and lots going on. More importantly however, it remains unspoilt by mass tourism! The town planners have carefully protected the historic buildings, hence Lagos has retained its character and charm. The apartment is set in the exclusive Lagos Marina which is the best location in Lagos, literally a few minutes walk, all flat, no hills, will get you to the waterfront bars, restaurants, shops and Lagos centre. Although it is central, the marina setting is relaxing and peaceful so your days or evenings are not disturbed. The apartment is suitable for all ages, with a lift up to the apartment, walk-in shower and wide steps in to the shallow end of the pool.
Unique benefits of the property
We immediately fell in love with the apartment because of its huge balcony with stunning views of the swimming pool, marina and Lagos. Its privileged location as part of the 'award winning' Lagos Marina is a major bonus. We enjoy relaxing on the sun loungers and taking refreshing dips in the lovely pool during the day and then, as the sun goes down, watching the lights of Lagos begin to twinkle from the apartment balcony is a real treat, we then wander into Lagos for an evening meal, a glass of wine and soak up the friendly atmosphere. Furnished and maintained to a very high standard, it is a real home from home, having lots of extras such as SKY TV in the lounge and both bedrooms, the kitchen includes a coffee machine and dishwasher, one of the most sought after apartments on the complex.
