The apartment is cleaned on a weekly basis with a complete change of bed linen and towels, added to this there is an extra change of towels middle of each week. You are kindly requested to bring your own beach towels for use at the beach or by the pool. |

On your arrival at the apartment, Corinne, our apartment manager will be there to greet you & to ensure your holiday gets off to a great start. You can contact Corinne at any time during your stay should you need any assistance. This high spec apartment, has brand new furniture and is located on the second floor of the much sought after Don Manuel Complex within 'Lagos Marina'. Said to be one of the most beautiful Marina's in Europe, it offers a fine selection of waterfront bars and restaurants. Just a stroll accross the footbridge from the Marina is the atmospheric town of Lagos where you can enjoy the charm and history of the Portuguese culture. The sub tropical climate offering sunshine all year round makes Lagos a great place to visit at anytime of the year. For your peace of mind the Marina provides 24 hour security. The apartment has full air-con and is fitted with a safe. There is a supermarket to the rear of the complex. A car is not required. Payment by credit card accepted.

Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair users as there are a few steps to the front door of the complex. Inside there is a lift to take you up to the apartment on the 2nd floor.
Outside
The apartment is perfectly located in the exclusive, idyllic setting of the highly acclaimed Don Manuel complex, yet it is close enough to reach all Lagos has to offer on foot. A car is not required. Guests staying in this lovely complex have exclusive use of the large swimming pool and separate children’s pool, beautifully maintained gardens, sun loungers and parasols. This is quite unique as Don Manuel is the only complex within the Marina to boast its own private swimming pool! The garden area is gated to ensure it maintains its exclusivity and also to provide privacy for its guests. There is only a small number of apartments on this sought after complex which has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and offers its guests the space to unwind and fantastic facilities to enjoy. There is a supermarket just accross the road to the rear of the apartment. There truly is something for everyone here and with everything on your doorstep you can do as much or as little as you choose.
Coast/Beach
The beaches and coastline around Lagos are regarded as the most beautiful in the Algarve! Just an easy 8 min walk from the apartment is the stunning Meia Praia beach. The 5km stretch of soft golden sand is lovely to wander along. Beach bistros sprinkled along the sands edge, provide the perfect place to stop for refreshments. There are a further 8 glorious beaches close by, with picturesque coves and transparent waters. Lagos is perfect for those who love spending lazy days on the beach!
Golf
An ideal base for golfers, the town of Lagos offers a plentiful supply of bars and restaurants while a short car drive will take you to a host of magnificent courses. (see owners website for more details). Palmares - 5 mins drive, is one of the most scenic courses in the Algarve, with most of the holes laid out on the gentle slopes above Meia Praia beach, overlooking the Bay of Lagos. BoaVista - 5 mins drive, provides a variety of attractive and interesting holes set against a glorious backdrop of the clear atlantic ocean. Parque da Floresta - 15 mins drive, set in a dramatic and steep sided valley is currently the only course west of Lagos.
Also close by is the the championship Penina Golf course designed by Henry Cotton and recently hosted the Portuguese open.
Travel
Many airlines fly from the UK to Faro including: EasyJet, RyanAir, Jet2, Monarch, BA, BmiBaby and Flybe. From the airport, the apartment is a pleasant 45 min drive along a quiet motorway. Private airport transfers can be arranged for you, Mr Santana, the driver we use regularly, can meet you in arrivals and transport you directly to the apartment. Once there a car is not needed as everything is within walking distance. Should you prefer to hire a car there is ample free parking at the complex.
Distances
Marina waterfront bars & restaurants 5 min stroll. Lagos town centre 10 min walk. Beach 8 min walk. Supermarket 2 min walk. Bus and train staion 5 min walk where transport can be found to the many attractions of the Algarve. Places of interest: Silves & Sargres with castles, cathederals & Gothic buildings. The traditional Algarvian village of Monchique with its spectacular views or visit 'lands end' at Cape St Vincent! Lagos is also home to Praia Dona Ana, the most photographed beach in Europe!

The Marina Health club can be used all day for a small fee. Bike hire is also available. Lagos has a daily fresh fish market, artisan shops with pottery and many small craft shops. The historic old town is steeped in over a thousand years of tradition. With its winding streets, it retains an old world charm and lively atmosphere. Eating out is a much loved, revered part of Portuguese life, Lagos offers an abundance of great restaurants typically offering freshly caught fish and locally produced wines. Enjoy! If you wish to venture outside Lagos, Silves is 20 mins away with its beautiful castle which dates back to Roman times, said to be the Algarves finest! Or visit Sargres where you will find the fortress of Henry the Navigator. Booking notes
A 30% deposit is taken on booking(non refundable) and the balance 8 weeks prior to your holiday. Payments accepted in UK £ or Euro, by cheque, bank transfer or credit card. No smoking in the apartment, only on the balcony please. Towels are provided for use inside the apartment, however you are kindly requested to bring towels for use on the beach and by the pool. Wireless internet connection is available (charge payable to network provider). A newly furnished & lovingly maintained apartment.
