Property description

The apartment is situated in the middle of the Old Village, the standard of the apartment must be considered to be 5 Star. There are 3 communal swimming pools, this apartment is near but not on top of the new pool, there is also a childrens playground nearby. Each pool has bar facilities. Other facilities on the site include at least two restaurants and at least two cafe bars and a supermarket. The apartment is 10 minutes walk from the Marina and beach. In the Marina there are lots of good restuarants, bars and shops.

Accommodation description

Bedrooms:
Each bedroom has twin beds with built in wardrobes. Bedroom 1 has air conditioning unit.

Bathrooms:
The bathroom consists of 1 bath with shower over, WC and Bidet. The bathroom has been refurbished this year, all items in the bathroom including the tiles are new.

Kitchen:
The Kitchen was refurbished this year and now boasts new kitchen units, modern cooker and hood, washing machine, dishwashwer, Fridge and Freezer. Large Granite worktop area.

Living Rooms:
The lounge/dining room has cable TV, dvd, air-conditioning, comfortable sofas, coffee table etc. The patio doors in the lounge/dining room lead out to a large balcony with patio chairs. Lounge table and chairs.

Other:
Large Private Roof Terrace (which has four sunbeds and a table and chairs).
Large balcony with patio table and chairs.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
The property has a towel and bed linen change once a week. Please note that the costs of the apartment includes 1 weekly maid service and linen change. For further linen changes please arrange with 5 Star and pay them directly.

Washing Machine, Oven, Microwave, Iron, Hob/Stove, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher.

Outside
There are 3 communal swimming pools, (Please note there is a small charge for the sunbeds around the pool, this is beyond our control.)., The charges are 3 Euros per sun bed per day. The areas around the apartments are surrounded by well kept gardens which are very pretty. There is a 24 hour security on the site. The apartment has a large balcony and a large roof terrace. The roof terrace has table and chairs plus sunbeds.

Important notes on accommodation

The Old Village is especially suited to children and golfers alike. The Portuguese are very friendly and very family orientated.
The apartments are all pastel colours on cobbled streets the whole area is very unusual and very pretty.
The Old Village Condominium keep the open areas maintained to a very high standard. The apartment can boast that it is one of the more modern, being totally refurbished this year.

About the area

Coast/Beach
The Beach and Marina is 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment. In the Marina you can arrange boat trips, the use of Jet Skis, and Para Gliding. The beaches are golden sand with restaurants actually on the beach. There are two water parks nearby, and various aqua marine parks.

Golf
In the Vilamoura area there are at least 6 Golf Courses. The Old Village stands between fairways 10 and 12 of the Pinhal Golf Course. Portugal is geared to golf, the golf courses are world famous.

How to get there
The nearest airport is Faro, car pickups can be arranged. The apartment is 25 mins from the airport. Car hire is not essential but can be arranged if required.

Distances
Loule town is approx 20m mins by car. In Loule there is a weekly market. Albufeira is 10 mins by car. 10 mins drive will also take you to the exclusive areas such as Vale do Lobo and Quita do Largo. Where there is a tennis acadamy.
Algarve shopping is 40mins by car, Algarve's equivalent of a small Bluewater well worth visiting.

Further Details
The restaurants on site are Casa do Largo and Princess Gardens (highly recommended). (A La Carte). Various bars: Village Inn, Bar Nautica, Sports bar, Bar O Cafe. The Garrafeira Off Licence.

About the Owner

We are a married couple with two teenage boys.
We have been going to the Old Village since Tyler our youngest was 18 months old, he is now 16.
We bought our first property about 5 years ago, then all of our friends wanted to come with us, I soon got fed up with having a apartment full of people, so we bought another property, this is where our friends stay when they come with us. We rent out both properties they have proved very popular.
The Old Village is a prime location for families of people who play golf, or not as the case maybe, I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like there.
You have to go a long way to find people who are more friendly and helpful.

Year property purchased: 2004

Why this location?

We bought our first apartment at the Old Village as it was a very pretty place, the local beaches are lovely, and if wanted, there are also water parks nearby. The Marina is a place where you see how the other half live. There are many very good restaurants around the Marina, behind the Tivoli Hotel is a Nikki Beach and Nikki Beach Restaurant which is very good. The beaches are all of golden sand they all have restaurants.

What are the unique benefits of the property?

There are three pools on the Old Village, each pool has a bar where you can buy refreshments and sandwiches, apart from the pool areas there are plenty of eating places from a la carte to the more cafe like restaurants. The Old Village is based on an Italian Piazza, the buildings are pastel coloured and the whole area is very pretty. The Portuguese are very friendly people and they love children.
