Comfortable, tastefully furnished lounge with cloakroom off and double doors to large balcony where alfresco meals can be eaten. There is access to a private secure plunge pool and sundeck area which only serves 12 apartments. It is a 15 minute stroll along the riverside promenade to reach the historical old town with its numerous shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. You will be spoilt for choice! Take the footbridge over the river to the marina with its vibrant quayside watering holes. A little further on is the magnificent Meia Praia beach which is a must for beach side dining with stunning views over the bay of Lagos.

Prices are based on 2 people sharing per week in £ sterling. An extra person will be charged at £40 per week. NOTE: Easter, Christmas and New Year will be charged at September/October prices.
Changeover day
The apartment is available from 3pm on day of arrival and check out is at 10am on the day of departure (the preferred day being Saturday). Can be flexible on arrival dates, subject to bookings.

Notes on accommodation
Remote controlled air con/heating unit in lounge and bedroom. Hair dryer provided. No ashtrays are provided as the owners are non smokers and we would request that our guests respect our non smoking policy in the apartment.

Ample parking close to front door. Large balcony with movable sunscreen and stunning views across the surrounding hillside. Outside table, chairs and sun loungers. Access to a lockable sunbathing area with small circular plunge pool to the side of the property.
Coast/Beach
Batata beach located next to the old fort at the end of Lagos town, sheltered by sandstone cliffs, is a 20 minute walk. Meia Praia; a fantastic long, sandy beach with protected sand dunes and boardwalks to the local rustic beach side restaurants with their stunning views across the bay of Lagos. 5 minute drive. The signature beach of Praia Dona Ana, a secluded cove with sandstone cliffs at west end of Lagos, is a 12 minute drive.
Golf
Palmares - newly constructed 27 hole course with access via Meia Praia beach - amazing views across Lagos bay. 10 mins drive. Boavista - scenic 18 hole course at Luz. 12 minutes drive away. Parque de Floresta - rugged challenging 18 hole course at Budens. 20 min drive away. Plus many more exciting courses in the surrounding area.
Special interest holidays
The Autodromo Algarve racing circuit close to Portimao, can be accessed via exit 3 off the A22 motorway. A 20 minute drive away for motor racing enthusiasts.
The Service Park for the Portuguese round of the World Rally Championship which takes place in March/April, is centered at Faro - 50 minute drive away
Travel
From Faro airport it is a 60 minute drive to the flat. Hire car is recommended for freedom but alternative transport is available via train and buses to Lagos.

Alvor beach resort is 12 miles away
Sagres with its rugged rocky coastline and 16 century fort; Prince Henry's former school of navigation - 20 miles away.
The Monchique mountains are 25 miles away. Drive a further 5 miles to the view point at Foia and sample the panoramic views across the Algarve.
Further details
The local bus service, Onda, has a bus stop at the entrance to the development. A cheap way to get around.
The Pingo Doce supermarket is a 10 minute walk away across the river bridge.
Aldi/Lidl/Modelo supermarkets are a 5 minute drive away.
The nearest ATM is at Barclay's Bank adjacent to the sailing boat fountain by the church of Sao Joao -300 yards walk.
Opposite the entrance to the development is a newly built leisure complex with an Olympic size pool and sports facilities.
The apartment is in an elevated quiet spot but within walking distance of the delightful town and marina with the many vibrant bars and restaurants. A folder can be found in the apartment advising you of places of interest to visit plus recommendations for eating out. There is so much choice and variety! There seems to be never enough time to sample them all!
It is superbly situated for easy road access from Lagos for visitors to investigate the surrounding area and many places of interest both historical and sporting. The Algarve is famous for its beautiful beaches and many of these can be located easily.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required (non refundable) on booking with balance required 6 weeks before arrival date. Late bookings have to be fully paid when reserving. Payment is in £ sterling.

Fell in love with the Algarve 12 years ago The apartment was bought from plan and has been my bolt hole for the last 6 years escaping from the 24hour business of running a very busy Guest House close to Gatwick. I am a golfer and am quite enamoured with the wonderful choice of golf courses on offer in the Algarve ! The bay of Lagos and the stunning Meia Praia beach still takes my breath away. The local cuisine and Portuguese hospitality are second to none !
