Also within 5 minutes is the superb new Amendoiera golf resort with the Faldo and Christy O Connor courses open from Oct 2008 - both are golfing treats to behold.

For the winter months, heating is via underfloor heating and fan assisted wood burning fire.
The first floor bedrooms both have air conditioning.

Gardens surrounding all 4 sides of property. 10 sun loungers and 10 chairs, Brick built BBQ. 15m pool - deepest end 1.5 metres. Upstairs large balcony accessed from landing and both bedrooms. Outside covered seating area for alfresco casual dining.

5 minutes drive from several golden sandy beaches - nearest beaches next to the 5 star Vila Vita hotel.
Golf
The Amendoiera golf course featuring the Nick Faldo and Christy O'Connor course , is only 5 mins drive and for golfers is a must see and must play course. The courses are managed by Troon and as such the customer service is excellent from the moment you pull up to the moment you finally drag yourself away from the clubhouse balcony with stunning views over both courses. Also nearby are Pennina , Pinta,Gramacho ,Morgado ,Silves, Alamos,Palmares,Alto and Salgado golf courses -- if you haven't played it then the Henry Cotton designed course at Pennina is highly recommended.

Faro airport now comfortably less than 40 minutes drive on the new extension of the motorway.

It was the best family holiday we have ever had --please thank Ann for all her help and we all already miss sitting under the Palm Trees around the pool. The evenings sitting on the verandah were just idyllic.

About the owner
We live in Berkshire and have 2 children who love Portugal as much as we do. In the 1990's we lived in Cascais, near Lisbon, and loved it so much we promised ourselves that one day we would try and get a place that could eventually be our retirement base. All going to plan so far and we just can't wait to live there.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having viewed over 30 villas we knew when we pulled up outside that the location and grounds of Villa Golfinho ( Dolphin in Portuguese ) were for us. 8 years on and we have not been disappointed. The coastline at Armacao De Pera and the coves of Senhora De Rocha and Praia De Marinha are absolute gems and still relatively unspoilt. Not forgetting the lovely friendly people of Portugal who have made us and all our guests so welcome.
Unique benefits of the property
It is a lovely relaxed place to enjoy the weather whilst feeling at home and unwinding in a quite spot but nearby many many activities. On the long winter nights in UK it is a warming thought to remember the lazy days laying under the palm trees in the garden whilst watching the children in the pool - followed by al fresco BBQ dining on the veranda.
