Seaside towns of Monte Gordo, Vila Real and Ayamonte (in Spain) with a wide range of restaurants and bars are nearby. Easy access for golf courses in the Algarve and Spain. Modern comfortable Villa recently furnished to a high standard with a large private pool set in landscaped gardens with four terraces over looking farmland, olive groves and orchards.

Changeover day
Changeover day normally Saturday, but can be Tuesday in August 2008. Villa will be ready by 4pm and should be vacated by 10am.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is all on one level and although not wheelchair compliant is suitable for people with milder forms of disability. There are steps to the pool terrace.

Outside
The villa is surrounded by farmland and orchards. It is situated in a large garden with boules court and pool terrace. The private 10x5m pool has a large patio with lovely views over the countryside. There are ample recliners, outdoor furniture and umbrellas. There is a large barbeque outside the kitchen and two further terraces.
Coast/Beach
10 min drive from superb beaches at Praia Verde and Monte Gordo. Many more within half an hour.
Golf
Idealy located for golf courses on the Portuguese Algarve and Spain.

Special interest holidays
Close to large natural reserve ideal for bird watching.
Last week of August/first week of Sept (actual dates vary) there is a three day medieval event in the local castles which also takes over the whole town.
Ideal for golfing holidays.

Faro Airport is 45 min drive.
Seville Airport 60 min drive.
Car hire is essential and available at Faro and Seville Airports.
Distances
Historic Castro Marim 5 min drive, with Castle, fortifications, and bank, post office, police station and traditional cafes and bars.
2000 hectare nature reserve 5 min drive with over 153 species of bird.
Spanish Border 7 min.
Rio Guadiano, dividing Spain and Portugal, 7 min drive with numerous historic towns up river both sides of the border.
Seaside towns of Monte Gordo and Vila Real are 10 min drive with Ayamonte 15 min drive, all with supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants.

Nearest restaurant at Rio Seco, 3 min drive, 10 min walk, more in Castro Marim, and many, many, more in Monte Gordo, and Vila Real.
Several local markets (Castro Marim on 2nd Saturday, and Vila Nova de Cacela on 3rd Sunday of each month) offer a wide range of local produce and clothes at very reasonable prices. Ayamonte is noted for its gem stones and jewellery and Vila Real for linen.
