The rear entrance to the property leads to a swimming pool and sunbathing area that attracts the sun all day long. For those who are more active the Dunas Douradas large communal Roman style swimming pool and tennis courts are only 10 minutes walk away, plus the pool bar serving drinks and lunches. The popular facilities of the Vale do Lobo Tennis Club and Barringtons Health Club and Nature Reserve are also within walking distance.

Notes on accommodation
The air conditioning units become room heaters for the colder nights in addition to electric room heaters.
Note the plunge pool is 1.8m at the deep end which is near the bedrooms - guests with non-swimming toddlers are advised to take note.
It is possible to organise a welcome pack of groceries for a small extra charge, please indicate your requirements on booking.

Large hardwood dining table with matching chairs and cushion seats for covered dining area. Gas barbecue.
Coast/Beach
The property is a 2 min car drive or 10 minute walk from the white sandy beach. There are many bars and restaurants for lunches and evening meals. Water sport facilities such as jet and watersking are available, plus discounted sunbed and parasol hire. There is also a Nature Reserve and Lake with observation platform within 5 minutes walk for wild life lovers.

Tennis Academy is available at peak times of the year at Val do Lobo Tennis Centre (5 minutes walk. This is highly recommended for tennis lovers both adults and juniors. Consisting of two hours of tennis a day between 9 and 11 for 5 days, a ticket to the mid-week barbeque/karoke and a free tee shirt. Private tuition is available all year round.
There is also the chance to enter evening doubles tournaments for adults and doubles and singles for juniors, a different competition every night.
Travel
Dunas Douradas is approx. 20 mins away from Faro Airport. A car is recommended by not essential.
Distances
Almancil is approx. 10 mins away by car and has a large supermarket selling many English branded products with an in house bakery and quality fresh meat counter. Quinta Shopping is a five minute drive with upmarket shops, cafe's, restaurants and a pub. Banks and Supermarkets are also situated there. The Vale do Lobo 'Praca' is 5 mins drive, a lively area full with bars, restaurants overlooking the sea with live evening entertainment.
The Penguin Club creche is also available near the Praca.
Further details
Within walking distance guests staying at the property have the use of the large Roman Style Swimming Pool situated behind the Dunas Douradas reception area and discounted use of the 2 tennis courts. There is a terrace and pool bar, a restaurant and a mini market (open 7 days a week).
Also within walking distance is the Vale do Lobo tennis club with 14 courts, tennis academy coaching and competitions every week during the summer season. Also nearby is Barringtons Health Club with many sporting facilities, including a golf driving range and squash courts. There are many opportunities for seaside walks, through the un-spoilt coastline.
