Casa Monteiro is situated in a quiet cul de sac of private villas in a lovely family-friendly, residential area of the “golden triangle” of beaches close to Gale.
Beautiful sandy beaches are within a 15 min walk (Castelo, Lourenco and Evaristo beaches) or Gale main beach is 4 mins drive away.
Lively Albufeira Old Town is an easy 10 min drive away with shops, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and The Strip at Montechoro is only 15 mins drive.
Salgados Golf and the famous Amendoeira Golf Resort are close by.
The villa has a large private pool (30 x 15 ft) in a pretty garden with barbeque area and pergola for alfresco dining.
There are 5 bedrooms, 4 en suite with separate balconies or direct access to the pool area.
It has a well equipped kitchen, 2 comfortable lounge areas and open plan dining area with French windows to the pool area. Highchair, cots & stairgate are available.
Sky Sports and BBC will be available from 2012 - come and watch the Olympics in the sun!

Changeover day
Saturday is change over day. You will be able to access the villa after 2pm on day of arrival and are requested to vacate by 11am on your departure.

Outside
The villa has a large private pool (30x15ft) set in a pretty paved garden, with trees and raised flower beds. There is a separate barbeque area and pergola with seating for outdoor dining which can be lit for evening dining/drinks around the pool. There are sunloungers and chairs around the pool.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beaches are Castelo, Evaristo or Lourenco all within 15 minute walk or 4 minute drive. Sandy beaches with rocky coves, they have ample car parking and restaurants on the beach with showers and toilets.
Larger Gale beach is popular with families and has miles of beautiful sand. There are several cafes, toilets and showers and a first aid centre. Pedalos and water sports are available. It is a 20 min walk (4 min drive) from the villa.
Golf
Herdade de Salgados Golf Resort is only 5 mins drive from the villa. The award winning Amendoeira Golf Resort, with its famous Faldo & O'Connor courses, is only 20 mins drive.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro which is about a 40 minute drive to the villa.
Distances
Albufeira Old Town is an easy 10 min drive and Montechoro Strip is only 15 mins away.
Visit the beautiful Monchique mountains and spa in Caldas de Monchique or the historic Moorish town of Silves, both only 30 mins drive.

Supermarkets:There are several well stocked supermarkets nearby (20 min walk or short drive).
Restaurants: There is a range of local restaurants and bars within a 5 min walk of the villa. Vila Joya, the only restaurant in Portugal with 2 Michelin stars, is only 15 mins walk.
ATM/Banks: there are ATMs at the supermarkets and a bank in Guia a few mins away.
Activities: There are horse riding facilities near Albufeira Town and bicycles can be hired locally near Castelo beach. Water parks include Slide & Splash, Aqualand and Zoo Marine for children.
Shopping: Algarve Shopping Centre is only 15 min drive and has many fashion boutiques, cafes and a hypermarket.
