The lovely 11x4m pool is surrounded by beds of palms and the gardens, and is exclusively for guests use, giving the feel of staying in your very own private villa. Casa Jardim is ideal for couples looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away from the crowded resorts. Set in two acres of beautiful grounds, consisting of natural terrain and partly-landscaped gardens,the approach is down a 100m drive, which affords total seclusion.The owners live in separate accommodation nearby.

| The Pool Apartment looks out over the gardens and the pool. It is a fusion of traditional materials and modern design, has high ceilings and is bright and spacious, with a large living/dining room, a fully fitted kitchen area and large double bedroom with en-suite shower room. We offer the choice of a large double bed or twin beds. The double doors open on to your own private terrace which faces east and gets the morning sun, perfect for a leisurely breakfast with just the birds for company. Notes on accommodation
A welcome pack can be provided, the fridge stocked with cold drinks and essentials for your first breakfast or lunch, and if you are arriving late we will be happy to book you a table at a local restaurant. We provide a beach bag with towels, beach mats, sun umbrellas and cold bags with ice packs. Also large towels for use by the pool (saving space in your suitcase!). Both apartments have a radio/CD/tape player and a selection of CDs, wireless internet access, clothes airer and hair dryer, an iron and ironing board. Satellite television is available in both Apartments. Bed linen and towels are changed weekly. Fans are available in the summer and for winter lets heating is provided. We would prefer that guests do not smoke in the apartments. We do not consider that the property is suitable for children.
Outside
Outside and surrounded by palms and the extensive gardens is a large 11m x 4m pool which is exclusively for the use of our guests. The spacious terrace is furnished with sun-beds and umbrellas and has an outdoor shower. There is a large BBQ and picnic table nearby, with shade and lighting, and is ideal for eating out and enjoying all the fresh fish from the local markets. Lit by candles and lanterns it is a lovely way to spend an evening, either alone or socialising with the other guests. The gardens have a variety of shaded seating areas from which to enjoy the slow passage of Algarve time.
Coast/Beach
From Casa Jardim it is a 12 minute drive to the sea. The beaches are protected areas and therefore unspoiled, with soft white sand and backed by dunes. Several of the beaches are reached via a 5 minute boat trip, and all have a choice of restaurants and bars. Even in August it is easy to escape the crowds and find a deserted stretch of beach. The water is clean and the warmest in Portugal.
Golf
Just the other side of Tavira, a 20 minute drive away, are 3 full size golf courses; Benamore (www.golfbenamor.com) and the complex containing Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima (www.quintariagolf.com). 40 minutes in the other direction and there are a dozen more.
Travel
Our property is 20 minutes from Faro airport. On our website you will find a link to a local car hire company who have competitive rates, and who will give you a quote.
Distances
We are just 3 kilometres outside the market town of Moncarapacho where you will find a number af bars and several very good restaurants, plus a choice of small supermarkets and banks. Lively Olhao with the best fish and produce markets is 10 minutes away and from the harbour you can visit the nearby islands of Armona and Culatra. The historic fishing town of Tavira 'the most beautiful town in the Algarve'- plus shopping and cinemas are 20 minute away. We are a 20minute drive from Faro Airport.
Further details
For nature lovers there is a huge variety of wildlife to be seen at the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, a protected area that stretches for many miles along the coast and includes most of the beaches. This area is home for many rare birds and is a 'stopover' for migratory birds. The reception office for the reserve is only minutes from Casa Jardim.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday full payment is required when booking.
