Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible to allow guests to choose the length of time they wish to stay.

Garden Apartment

The 'garden apartment' has a private terrace overlooking the gardens and with views to the hills. We offer the choice of a large double or two single beds, and an en-suite bath/shower room. The kitchen is well equipped. Has a ceramic hob, small oven and grill, a full sized fridge and lots of storage space. The spacious living/dining room opens to a private terrace and leads to the pool area.

Pool Apartment

The 'pool apartment' has its own terrace overlooking the pool. There is a choice of a large double bed or two singles, and an en-suite shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped. Has a ceramic hob, small oven and grill, a full sized fridge and plenty of storage space. The spacious dining/living room opens onto a private terrace and overlooks the pool.

Notes on accommodation
Both apartments have a radio/CD/tape player and hair dryer. A welcome pack is provided, the fridge will be stocked with cold drinks and essentials for your first breakfast. Beach/pool towels, beach mats, sun umbrellas and cold bags are provided. Apartments will be cleaned and bed linen and towels changed weekly. Fans and heating are available. We would prefer that guests do not smoke in the apartments. We do not consider that the property is suitable for children or pets.

Outside
The pool is 11x4m and is shared by guests in the apartments. The large terrace is furnished with sunbeds and umbrellas and a shower. There is a large BBQ area nearby with shade, seating and lighting. The garden has secluded and shady areas and guests are welcome to use these.

Coast/Beach
From Casa Jardim it is a 12 minute drive to the sea. The beaches are protected areas and therefore unspoiled, with soft white sand and backed by dunes. Several of the beaches are reached via a 5 minute boat trip, and most have a choice of restaurants and bars. Even in August it is easy to escape the crowds and find an empty beach. The water is clean and the warmest in Portugal.

Golf
Just the other side of Tavira, a 20 minute drive away, are 3 full size golf courses; Benamore (www.golfbenamor.com) where we can arrange a good discount on green fees for guests, and the complex containing Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima (www.quintariagolf.com). 40 minutes in the other direction and there are a dozen more.

Travel
Our property is 20 minutes from Faro airport. We can collect you if you wish but as car hire is essential you might prefer to pick one up there. We can also reserve a car for you locally and have it delivered to your apartment. Please ask for details.

Distances
We are just 3 kilometres outside the market town of Moncarapacho where you will find a number af bars and several very good restaurants, plus a choice of small supermarkets and banks. Lively Olhao with the best fish and produce markets is 10 minutes away and from the harbour you can visit the nearby islands of Armona and Culatra. The historic fishing town of Tavira 'the most beautiful town in the Algarve'- plus shopping and cinemas are 20 minute drive. We are a 20minute drive from Faro Airport.

Further details
For nature lovers there is a huge variety of wildlife to be seen at the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, a protected area that stretches for many miles along the coast and includes most of the beaches. This area is home for many rare birds and is a 'stopover' for migratory birds. The reception office for the reserve is only minutes from Casa Jardim.

Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking and the balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday full payment is required when booking.
