Notes on accommodation
Both villas are ideal for families with children or couples looking for a rural retreat.
Maid service twice weekly (High Season), once (off season). Bath towels changed twice weekly. Bed linen changed weekly. Own beach towels needed.

Toilets adapted with disabled rails.
Outside
Casa das Figueiras has several outside eating areas, shaded by fig trees and sub-tropical plants and flowers built-in barbeque and a large swimming pool (10 x 5 metres), sun-beds and parasols. The pool area has recently been fence to provide extra safety for younger children.
Casa Nova has a covered terrace, paved patio and flower-filled planters, outside eating area , built-in barbeque and a kidney-shaped swimming pool (7 x 3.5 metres), sun-beds and parasols.
Coast/Beach
15 to 20 minutes drive to the coast, visit the rock pools and freshwater springs of Olhos d´Agua (great for children) swim at Falesia´s long sandy beaches, and explore the Marina at Vilamoura.
Golf
10 minutes drive to Vilamoura's four golf courses.
Travel
Faro Airport 30 minutes.

The villa is in a wonderful peaceful location. Remco (the villa agent) is a hive of knowledge on all the local restaurants and Sao (the housekeeper) is extremely helpful. I always enjoy Casa Nova and find it perfect for chilling out.

We really enjoyed our stay. The villa was in such a beautiful, peaceful location that we relaxed instantly. We would have liked to have stayed for another week! About the owner
My husband and I bought a plot in 1981 with a small building (a ruin really) set on a hillside overlooking the Algarvian coast. Gradually we renovated, expanded and improved but kept the character of the original stone building and roof. Subsequently we added a small modern villa at the end of the garden so that we could holiday with relations or friends without getting under each others' feet. Whilst totally separate and secluded with their own pools, both houses are near enough to accommodate larger parties if desired. The location is fantastic! Real Algarve, tranquil, almond orchards, winding lanes, village close by with bank, pharmacy and some good restaurants. Yet Vilamoura and Albufeira are only a 10/15 minute drive with beautiful beaches, golf courses and marinas.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Boliqueime seemed the perfect spot, away from the hustle and bustle like another world but with easy access to coast and airport.
Unique benefits of the property
Glorious rest and relaxation. Sometimes a shepherd grazes his sheep in the orchard in front. The garden is child friendly and the bigger house has a fenced pool.
