The apartment is overlooking Alto Golf course and is in close proximity to numerous good restaurants. The beach can be reached easily by short 10/15 min walk and the town is just a short 10 min stroll away. Reception area can provide bookings and transport for local aqua parks and zoo marine park. Bus stops directly outside the complex for those in need of transport. The complex is beside Alto golf course and within driving distance of many others. Tennis course, indoor pool facilities, children's trampolining are just some of the many facilities provided in Alvor town. Alvor has a magnificent beach with gorgeous beach restaurants and it is also an ideal position to travel around and see other beaches and neighbouring towns.

Magnificent beach with hidden coves, caves etc., to explore. Beach restaurants provide some fabulous meals and snacks.
Overlooking Alto golf course and within driving distance of Penina golf course and others.
How to get there
Faro airport is within 45 mins of Vila Marachique. Transfer companies operate from Faro to Alvor. Taxi transfer details on request. Numerous car rental companies operate from Faro airport.
Alvor itself provides Alisuper supermarket and many banking facilities but within 5 mins drive of Vila Marachique is a large Continente on the outskirts of Praia da rocha for more convenient and economical shopping.
Well, what can I say. You have an amazing apartment and we are loving every minute. It is beautiful and has such fantastic views! It makes all the difference to have home comforts. The photographs on site don't do it justice. We shall definitely be calling you again next year. LR Kent
About the Owner
We are a family of two adults and four children. We bought Vila Marachique in 2006 and have enjoyed many fabulous holidays there. We really enjoy the secure pool area with limited access to fob holders only which gives us and our children peace of mind.

Why this location?
We love the location as with a little stroll along the dirt track behind our apartment we can arrive at the most idyllic beaches we have ever found nestled in amongst the rocks. We really enjoy this and the facilities of the beach restaurant overlooking it. It is sheer heaven and we look forward to enjoying it for many years to come. Unfortunately, we can't be there all year around which is why we have decided to rent our property out when we aren't there.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
In summertime we find it hard to leave the tranquility of the pool. The kids just love the fun with other kids at the pool and they enjoy running around the grounds playing hide and seek amongst the trees and football etc. In winter we find Vila Marachiqe a fantastic base for visiting the local beaches or visiting neighbouring villages like Carvoeria, Lagos, Silves. We were delighted to discover how close it was to travel to the peak of the Monchique mountains and soak up the atmosphere of authentic portuguese villages along the way. Alvor is close to all the aquaparks, zoos, watersports etc. Overall a fantastic location.
