“Casa Vista” and “Casa Bougainvillea” in Vale Judeu for rental consist of two separate houses each with its own entrance and its own drive to the house. The attractive “Casa Vista” consists of a fully equipped one-floor house, a large terrace with a panoramic view, a pool and a large flowery garden well protected and therefore also suitable for families with children. In the sleeping unit there are two bedrooms each with bathroom. Two more persons can sleep in a sofa-bed in the room between the two bedrooms.The other unit consists of a large kitchen with all necessary house hold equipment including dish washer.The dining/living-room with an open fireplace is viewing the pool and the garden. Behind “Casa Vista” - only separated by a parking space - the charming house “Casa Bougainvillea” is situated. The two floor house consists of two bedrooms, bathroom and a combined fully equipped kitchen and living-room.On the roof is a large terrace with a most extensive view down of the sea.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property(s) per week in Euros and Swedish Crowns.
The rates include water, electricity, gas and the houses are fully furnished including towels, bed sheets etc. Change of bed sheets and towels and cleaning of the houses once a week.
For periods longer than one month rental fee is negotiable.
Changeover day
During the winter season flexible arrival/departure time is accepted and during other seasons it can be considered.

On the first floor there is one bedroom with two single beds. Before the roof terrace there is another bedroom with a double bed. On the first floor there is a large bathroom with bathtub, shower, bidet, closet and wash basin. The fully equipped kitchen and living-room are combined with dining table set. Satellite TV, WiFi/wireless computer connection micro oven and washing machine are available in the house. The very popular, quiet, sunny roof terrace with the fantastic view is equipped with dining table set, barbeque and a huge parasol. |

Notes on accommodation
Both houses are suitable for children, as no or very little traffic around. "Casa Bougainvillea" is the end house of a sac road and therefore easy parking. In "Casa Vista" there is a garage or the car can be parked on the entrerance lane. In the area there are many lovely trekking paths with all kind of Portuguese vegetation. Also there are beautiful lookouts.
We have engaged a English spoken Portuguese couple living only around the corner from to houses to be responsible for the maintenance of the houses. They are also cleaning the houses and changing the bed sheets and towels once a week. Telephone numbers and a map drawing showing their house are available in our information folder.
Accessibility
In both houses there are problems with wheelchairs. In "Casa Vista" there is a possibiliy to enter the backdoor in stead of the main entrerance with many steps. To enter the "Casa Bougainvillea" is no problem, but to go up to the roof terrace is difficult.
Outside
The pool in Casa Vista is 0.80 m deep at its shallowest and 2.20 m at its deepest. It is 7,5 m long and 3,65 m wide. The pool is only for guests in Casa Vista. There are barbeques in both houses. On the terrace there are four sun chairs, one set sitting group and a large dining set with 6 chairs. Also two parasols are available.
Coast/Beach
About 5-7 km from the houses there are lovely beaches like Albufeira, Vilamoura, Quarteira and the closest "Praia da Falésia", which beach is very clean and well managed. Almost the whole coast of the Algarve consist of beautiful beaches.
Golf
There are a lot of golf courses around the houses. Only about 3-4 km you have the five courses at Oceanico Golfes. The owner can arrange discount in those clubs or other cources.
Special interest holidays
During the Carneval in February and the Eastern Holidays there are many activities. Also all flowers are blooming, which makes the Algarve a beautiful part of Portugal and absolutely worth a visit.
Travel
Faro International Airport is only 18 km from the houses and it takes about 15-20 min to drive on the Road 125.

In Vale Judeu there is a day-to-day shop with all necessary food purchases and fresh bread. Large supermarkets like Continente, Lidl, Apolonia are situated in all cities around the houses. There is also a most popular, Portuguese restaurant only about 350 m from the houses. Before Quarteira about 4-5 km from the houses the enormous, enthusiastic family park "AquaShow" is situated with water fun of all kinds. Also near Guia is the famous "Zoomarine" which is a "must" when visiting the Algarve. A Sunday afternoon in Vilamoura harbour is also worth a visit or a beatiful walk along the beach of Quarteira.
Booking notes
A deposit of about 15% will be requested in order to receive the final confirmation of the booking. A refund will be made in case of cancellation under certain conditions. The balance payment is to be made a week prior to arrival and check in at the house. Upon receipt of the deposit an envelope will be sent to the client with detailed road decription to the houses and photos of the surroundings.

This house is very spacious and has every thing you need for a perfect holiday. It has a fantastic pool and garden area and is in a lovely location which is peaceful and tranquil and has great views over the valley. About 10-15 minutes drive to many restaurants but we used to walk to the local one about 5 minutes from the house which is very good. Also only a few minutes stroll to a little general store which sells most day to day items. We have stayed at this house on several occasions and have always had a great time.

The house was well maintained and the local agent provide us with a perfect services.The Portuguese neighbors were very friendly I will recommend this house for people travelling with car as it is located in a small village little outside the central Villamoura. The village has nice local atmosphere with number of café and a first class restaurant.

About the owner
Lars Åkesson is a Swedish citizen and born in southern part of Skåne, but now living partly in Portugal. After eduction and working in a bank he signed up in 1962 for the luxury cruising ship m/s "Stella Polaris" as Chief Purser. Three years later he was employed by the worldwide construction company, Skanska as Administration Manager in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Tanzania. In 1976 he moved to Sweden as Personnel Manager in Skanska international division. In 1985 he moved to Bangkok, Thailand and Beijing, China. At the end of his career he worked for 10 years in Zimbabwe, where Skanska had many projects. At the end of 2000 he retired and closed Skanska office in Zimbabwe. Thereafter he is living in Portugal. Lars is married to Petra since 1966 and has three children and four grandchildren.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
After living in Zimbabwe for the last 10 years we wanted to be near the sea and the beaches. Also we wanted sport activities like tennis, golf, swimming etc. We found these two houses very central and not too far away from the beaches (6-7km).
The climate in the Algarve is similar to Zimbabwe with cool winters at night, pleasant spring and fall and hot summer. We love the months of March to May and September and October.
The Portugues people are most friendly and also hardworking. We have a couple around the corner of the houses looking after the houses and they speak English. The wife is the maid and has the houses cleaned and the beds made upon your arrival.

Only 3-4km from the houses the Oceanico Golfes.A few kilometers from Vilamoura you will reach the beaches and tourist regions of Quarteira/Quinta do Lago. Driving north up the hills from Vale Judeu about 10km you will arrive in the cultural and friendly town Loulé, where there is an interesting and typical Portuguese market place. The international airport, Faro is situated about 18km from Vale Judeu and only about 45 min drive by car to the border of Spain.
